Annual Statement
In the matter of the New Zealand Insurance Company
Trust Act 1916.
I, Samuel Jackson Hanna, Trust Manager, do solemnly and
sincerely declare:
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £3,000,000, divided
into 3,000,000 stock units of £1 each. - That the number of stock units issued is 3,000,000.
- That calls to the amount of £1 per stock unit have been
made under which the sum of £3,000,000 has been received. - That the amount of all moneys received on account of
estates is £57,977,734 7s. 4d. - That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates
is £57,479,840 19s. 10d. - That the amount of the balance held to the credit of
estates under administration in the company's trust bank
accounts is £497,893 7s. 6d. - That the liabilities of the company at the close of its
financial year (to wit, the 31st day of May 1957) were: Debts
owing to sundry persons by the company, viz: On judgment,
nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £779,972; on estimated liabilities, £3,545,707. - That the assets of the company on that date were:
Government securities (N.Z.), £636,244; Government securities
(British and British Dependencies), £2,584,956; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash at bankers and in hand, £999,777; other securities, £11,045,056.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing
the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an Act
of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices
of the Peace Act 1927.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Tokoroa Fire Station Loan 1957, £10,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Matamata County
Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repayment
of principal, and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised
to be raised by the Matamata County Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and
erecting and equipping a fire station at Tokoroa, the said
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth
of a penny (1/15d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on
the basis of the capital value) of all property in the Tokoroa
Secondary Urban Fire District, being the whole of the Tokoroa
Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 17th day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."
The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted
meeting of the Matamata County Council held on the 15th
day of August 1957.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Street Improvements Loan 1957, £240,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the
Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest,
and other charges on a loan of two hundred and forty thousand
and pounds (£240,000) authorised to be raised by the
Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of improving streets and constructing kerbing,
channelling, and footways, the said Christchurch City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-three thousand
eight hundred and fifty-one/three hundred and twelve thousand
five-hundredths of a penny (43851/312500d.) in the pound
(£0·00058468) on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within
the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
12th day of August 1957, passed the above resolution.

HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL
SECURITY RATE-BEERESCOURT SEWERS 1957 LOAN, £37,500
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hamilton
City Council hereby resolves:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of thirty-seven thousand five hundred pounds authorised
to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing sewer drains
and drainage works in the Beerescourt area of the city, including the cost of all necessary land, materials, plant, tools, cartage, labour, the costs of engineering plans, specifications,
supervision, and for compensation to owners of property adversely affected, and for the costs of raising the loan, the
said Hamilton City Council hereby makes a special rate of
one-thirteenth of a penny (1/13d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property within
the City of Hamilton; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct record
of a resolution passed by the Hamilton City Council at a duly
convened meeting held on the 14th day of August 1957.

NORTHCOTE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Commercial Development Loan 1957, £10,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorised to be raised
by the Northcote Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of developing commercial and industrial
areas, the said Northcote Borough Council hereby makes a
special rate of decimal two eight pence (0·28d.) in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough
of Northcote, comprising the whole of the Borough of Northcote; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly
on the 7th day of August in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen years, or
until the loan is fully paid off."
