Definition of the Purpose of Reserves

Change of the Purpose of a Reserve

Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Southland County Council
Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for gravel purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Southland, in trust, for that purpose, subject to the special condition that the Ministry of Works shall at all times have the right to remove gravel from the said reserve free of charge.

Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of Olive Sealey Knox Sheppard, of Thames, Spinster, Over Land in the Borough of Thames, Taken for Health Purposes, Assented to
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated 15 August 1955 and published in Gazette, 18 August 1955, Volume II, page 1289, an area of land containing 17.6 perches, being part Lots 73, 74, and 75, Kauaeranga No. 13 Block, subject to a right of way over part, was taken for health purposes (district nurse's residence):
And whereas Olive Sealey Knox Sheppard was entitled to receive compensation for the taking of the said land:
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said Olive Sealey Knox Sheppard an easement by way of a party wall agreement and fencing agreement defining the rights and liabilities of the parties over the boundary fence between part Lot 75 and Lot 76 of the block aforesaid in addition to the payment of a sum of money in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:
And whereas the said Olive Sealey Knox Sheppard has agreed to accept such party wall agreement and such fencing agreement and sum of money in full satisfaction of the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Agreement for Grant of Right of Way in Favour of Edward Wallace Bailey, of Te Puke, Farmer, Over Land in Block II, Maketu Survey District, Taken for a Secondary School, Assented to
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated 17 June 1957 and published in Gazette, 20 June 1957, No. 46, page 1182, areas of land totalling 11 acres 1 rood 3.2 perches, being parts Lot 1, and parts Lot 2, D.P. 17893, being part Section 15, Block II, Maketu Survey District, were taken for a secondary school:
And whereas Edward Wallace Bailey, of Te Puke, farmer, was entitled to compensation in respect of his interest in the said land:
And whereas the Minister of Works agreed to grant to the said Edward Wallace Bailey a right of way over part of the aforesaid land and the payment of a sum of money in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:
And whereas the said Edward Wallace Bailey agreed to accept such grant of right of way in addition to payment of a sum of money in full satisfaction of the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.
