Authorising the Central Waikato Electric Power Board to
Invest Moneys in Certain Local Body Securities

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act
1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency
the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
authorises the investment in debentures of the Hamilton City
Council, bearing interest at 4½ per cent and maturing on the
20th day of August 1962, of the sum of two thousand two
hundred pounds (£2,200), the said sum having been received
in terms of section 30 of the said Act by the Central Waikato
Electric Power Board.

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby orders and declares that the access way described in
the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this
Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens
of the Borough of Taihape and be under the control and
management of the Taihape Borough Council.

SCHEDULE
ALL that access way in the Wellington Land District containing
31·21 perches, situated in Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey
District, Borough of Taihape, Wellington R.D., and being
Lot 40, D.P. 15340, being part Section 77, Taihape Village

Authorising the Laying Off of a Street Off Hill Road in the
Borough of Manurewa Subject to a Condition as to the
Building Line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby authorises the Manurewa Borough Council to permit
the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule
hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft.,
but not less than 56 ft., subject to the condition that no
building or part of a building shall at any time be erected
on a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan
marked P.W.D. 153983 referred to in the said Schedule,
within a distance of 43 ft. from the centre line of the said
street.

SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District,
Borough of Manurewa, containing by admeasurement 2 roods
1 perch, more or less, being part Lot 6, D.P. 43814, being
part Clendon's Grant.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 153983 deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto,
that land being no longer required for the purpose for which
it was acquired.

ALL that piece of land in the Nelson Land District, contain-
ing 1·9 perches, situated in the City of Nelson, Nelson R.D.,
being part Section 446, City of Nelson; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 153823

The Lake Kaniere Pollution Control Order 1957

PURSUANT to section 61 of the Health Act 1956, His Excel-
lency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Lake Kaniere Pollution
    Control Order 1957.
  2. Those parts of Lake Kaniere and its foreshore described
    in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be under the
    control of the Hokitika Borough Council for the purpose of
    preventing the pollution thereof pursuant to the Health Act

SCHEDULE
PARTS OF LAKE KANIERE AND FORESHORE UNDER CONTROL OF
HOKITIKA BOROUGH COUNCIL
ALL that area in the County of Westland, Westland Land
District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the
middle of the mouth of Rose Creek on the eastern shore of
Lake Kaniere, in Block XI, Kaniere Survey District, and
proceeding due west across Lake Kaniere and beyond to a
point 40 chains distant from the lake's western shore; thence
generally northerly, easterly, and southerly along a line
parallel to and 40 chains distant from the shore of Lake
Kaniere, to the middle of Rose Creek; thence down the
middle of Rose Creek to the point of commencement.

Appointments in the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to the Naval Defence Act 1913, His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government has approved the following
appointments, promotions, and terminations of appointments
in the Royal New Zealand Navy:

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVAL RESERVE
Lieutenant Commander F. B. Campbell, M.B.E., R.D., com-
mission terminated to date 30 April 1957 on entry to Royal
New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVAL VOLUNTEER RESERVE
Lieutenant Commander T. H. McFlinn, promoted to rank
of Commander, to date 30 June 1957.
Surgeon Lieutenant Commander C. W. Whetter, M.B., CH.B.,
promoted to rank of Surgeon Commander, to date 30 June
1957.
Surgeon Lieutenant Commander E. L. Gillies, M.B., CH.B.,
promoted to rank of Surgeon Commander, to date 30 June
1957.
