Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL those pieces of road in the Hawke's Bay Land District, situated in Block III, Clive Survey District, Hawke's Bay R.D., described as follows:

Pursuant to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, and comprised in a roadway laid out by the Maori Land Court by an Order dated 14th day of September 1955, to be road.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Wellington-Napier Railway

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 10th day of December 1924 and published in Gazette, 11 December 1924, Volume III, page 2898, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 1482, defining the middle line of a portion of the Wellington-Napier Railway, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Wellington Land District containing 20·11 perches, situated in the City of Lower Hutt, being Lot 1, D.P. 18706, being part Section 96, Epuni Hamlet. Part Certificate of title, Volume 490, folio 84, Wellington Land Registry.

Declaring Certain Restrictions Which Shall Apply to the Use of Boats in Wildlife Refuge in the Otago Acclimatisation District

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 14A of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby declare that the restrictions as to the use of boats set out in the Schedule hereto shall apply with regard to the area specified in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE

  1. Hawkesbury Lagoon: The use of boats in the Hawkesbury Lagoon during any open season for game which the Minister of Internal Affairs may from time to time declare in the Otago Acclimatisation District is hereby prohibited.

Declaring Land, Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation District, to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE

HORSESHOE Lake, together with a strip 2 chains in width surrounding that lake and including a peninsula extending into the lake on its western shore, being part Lot 1, D.P. 3039, part Lot 1, D.P. 5361, part Lot 1, D.P. 1914, and part Lot 1, D.P. 2305, and being also part of the land in certificates of title, H.B. Volume 155, folio 56; Volume 53, folio 241; Volume 86, folio 197; and Volume 144, folio 258, situated in Blocks VI and X, Oero Survey District.

As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked I.A. 52/209 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of July 1957.
