Price Order and Bankruptcy Notices




Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following amending price order:

  1. This order may be cited as Price Order No. 1714 and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1676* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

  2. This order shall come into force on the 2nd day of August 1957.

  3. The principal order is hereby amended by revoking the Third Schedule thereto and substituting the following Schedule:

"THIRD SCHEDULE

"MAXIMUM WHOLESALE AND RETAIL PRICES OF BREAD DESCRIBED IN CLAUSE 4 OF THIS ORDER SLICED AND WRAPPED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CLAUSE 6 OF THIS ORDER

Per 4 lb Loaf Per 2 lb or Nominal 2 lb Loaf Per 1 lb or Nominal 1 lb Loaf

Conscience Money Received

£5, £20, £65, and 10s. to the Inland Revenue Department.

£20 to the Police Department.

£5, 10s., and £5 to the Post and Telegraph Department.

£4 to the Public Trust Office.

1s. 6d., £5, and £4 17s. 10d. to the Social Security Department.

£1, £1, and £20 (the latter amount on account of the Army Department) to the Treasury.

D. Richmond, counsel for the applicant, it was ordered that the order of adjudication, dated the 15th day of March 1956, against the said William Hartley Tippett, of Wellington, be annulled.
