A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier railway.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 0·29 of a perch.
Being part Section 96, Hutt District.
Situated in Block I, Rimutaka Survey District, Borough of Upper Hutt. (S.O. 23596.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14863 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange edged orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 23rd day of July 1957.

Boundaries of Omarunui Drainage District Altered

At the Government House at Wellington this 31st day of July 1957
Present:
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares:
- That, as on and from the 1st day of April 1958, the area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be included in the Omarunui Drainage District.
- That the boundaries of the Omarunui Drainage District as so altered shall be as defined in the Second Schedule hereto.
- That the alteration of the boundaries of the said district hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Land Drainage Act 1908.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREA INCLUDED IN OMARUNUI DRAINAGE DISTRICT
All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing 180 acres, more or less, situated in Block X, Heretaunga Survey District, and bounded as follows:
Towards the north-west by the Omarunui Drainage District as described in the Gazette of 1922, at page 1602; towards the west by the foot of the hills through Lot 15, Deposited Plan 3099; towards the south by a line through Lots 15, 7, 6, and 5, Deposited Plan 3099, 100 links north of, and parallel to, the outlet drain from Oingo Lake; towards the south-east by a line through Lots 5, 4, and 3, Deposited Plan 3099, and Lot 14, Deposited Plan 3536, 100 links north-west of, and parallel to, the Paherumanihi Stream; and towards the north-east by a line through Lot 14, Deposited Plan 3536, 100 links north-east of, and parallel to, the Repokaiterotoroa Stream.
SECOND SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE OMARUNUI DRAINAGE DISTRICT
All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block VI, Heretaunga Survey District, being the westernmost corner of Lot 4 on the plan numbered 5125 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier, being also a point on the southern side of Moteo Pa Road; thence generally easterly along the southern side of that road for a distance of 2671 links to the foot of the hills; thence southerly, easterly, and northerly along the foot of the hills through the aforementioned Lot 4 to the south-eastern side of the aforementioned Moteo Pa Road; thence north-easterly along that roadside for a distance of 4236 links to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3 on the aforesaid plan numbered 5125; thence south-easterly, south-westerly, and again south-easterly along the north-eastern, south-eastern, and again north-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 3 to the north-western boundary of Section 11, Block VI, Heretaunga Survey District; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 11; thence south-easterly along that boundary, the north-eastern side of Omarunui Road for a distance of 1740·5 links, the crossing of the said Omarunui Road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 3042 deposited as aforesaid, including the crossing of the Omahu-Moteo road, to the foot of the hills; thence south-westerly along the foot of the hills to the western boundary of Section 2, Block VI, Heretaunga Survey District (part of the said Section 2 being now part of Lots 1 and 2 on the plan numbered 3042 deposited as aforesaid and part of Lot 6 on the plan numbered 2303 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier and part now absorbed in Sections 14, 16, 18, and 20, Block VI, Heretaunga Survey District); thence south-westerly generally along that boundary to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Section 20, Block VI, Heretaunga Survey District; thence north-westerly along that boundary and its production to the western side of the Omahu-Moteo road; thence southerly along that roadside to a point in line with the western boundary of former Section 9, Block VI, Heretaunga Survey District (now absorbed in Sections 18 and 21, Block VI, Heretaunga Survey District); thence southerly across the Omahu-Moteo road to and along that boundary and the western boundaries of Section 10, Block VI, and Section 2, Block X, Heretaunga Survey District (the said Sections 10 and 2 being now part of Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 on the plan numbered 3536 deposited as aforesaid and part of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 3589 deposited as aforesaid), to the foot of the hills in Lot 10 on the aforesaid plan numbered 3536; thence north-easterly and south-westerly along the foot of the hills to the western boundary of Section 2 again; thence southerly along that boundary to the north-western boundary of Lot 15 on the aforesaid plan numbered 3536; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along a line parallel to Repokaiterotoroa Stream and 1 chain distant therefrom to the intersection of that line with a line 1 chain north of, and parallel to, Paherumanihi Stream; thence south-westerly generally along that line to its intersection with a line 1 chain north of, and parallel to, the outlet drain from Lake Oingo; thence westerly along that line to the foot of the hills in Lot 15 on the plan numbered 3099 deposited as aforesaid; thence northerly along the foot of the hills to the eastern side of Pirau Road at the south-eastern boundary of Lot 18 on the aforesaid plan numbered 3099; thence northerly generally along that roadside, to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 25 on the aforesaid plan numbered 3099 to the foot of the hills at the north-eastern corner of the said Lot 25; thence again northerly generally along the foot of the hills to the south-western boundary of Lot 4 on the first-mentioned plan numbered 5125; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the southern side of Moteo Pa Road, being the point of commencement.

- That the boundaries of the Taupiri Drainage and River District as so altered shall be as defined in the Second Schedule hereto.
- That the alteration of boundaries of the said district hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Land Drainage Act 1908.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREA INCLUDED IN TAUPIRI DRAINAGE AND RIVER DISTRICT
All that area situated in Block X, Komakorau Survey District, in the South Auckland Land District, being Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 18276, being parts Allotments 105, 105A, 106, 107, 108, 109, and 121A, Parish of Kirikiriroa, and parts of the Loan and Mercantile Grant, and also that portion of Puketaha Road bounded on the north-east by a right line between the easternmost corner of the aforementioned Lot 1 and the northernmost corner of Lot 11, D.P. 11006, being part of the said Loan and Mercantile Grant, and on the south-west by a right line being the production of the western boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 11006 aforesaid, being parts of Allotments 108, 120, 121, 121A, and 122A of the said Parish, and part of the said Loan and Mercantile Grant.
