Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Revocation of Approval to Issue Warrants of Fitness

Pursuant to subclause (3) of regulation 52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the approval of the firm described in the Schedule hereto to issue warrants of fitness for motor vehicles.

Revocation of Approval to Issue Warrants of Fitness

Pursuant to subclause (3) of regulation 52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the approval of the firm described in the Schedule hereto to issue warrants of fitness for motor vehicles.

Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Licensing the Manapouri-Doubtful Sound Tourist Co. Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Holmwood Island in Lake Manapouri as a Site for a Jetty

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Manapouri-Doubtful Sound Tourist Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called the company, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Holmwood Island in Lake Manapouri, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10068 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of August 1957.
  3. The premium payable by the company shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable five pounds (£5).
  4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said jetty shall deposit such ballast above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.
  5. The licensee shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of any loss arising from the alteration of the lake level for hydro-electric purposes.

Licensing the Kohimarama Yacht Club to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at the Eastern End of Kohimarama Beach, as a Site for a Clubhouse

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Kohimarama Yacht Club (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at the eastern end of Kohimarama Beach, Waitemata Harbour, and shown as site A on plan marked M.D. 10232 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, as a site for a clubhouse, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provision of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable three pounds (£3).
  3. The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of August 1957.
