THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Four Peaks Rabbit District Order 1957.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The boundaries of the Four Peaks Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of August 1949,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE FOUR PEAKS RABBIT DISTRICT
All that area in the Counties of Geraldine, Mackenzie, and Ashburton, Canterbury Land District, containing 341,600 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Orari River in line with the north-western boundary of Section 1, Tripp Settlement; thence south-westerly generally along that boundary, Orari Gorge Road, a public road forming the southern boundary of Section 2, Tripp Settlement, Clarks Road, a public road forming the western boundary of Section 10, Tripp Settlement, to and along the middle of the Waihi River, to and along Ribys Road to Waihi Gorge Road; thence south-easterly generally along that road and Woodbury Road to Sercombes Road; thence westerly along that road to McKeowns Road; thence south-westerly generally along that road, a public road forming the south-eastern boundary of Reserve 2703, across the Hae Hae Te Moana River, Woodside Road, and Wells Road to the Geraldine-Fairlie Main Highway No. 116; thence westerly generally along that main highway, Howes Road, Main Highway No. 116 aforesaid, crossing the Opuha River and continuing along that main highway (Cattle Valley Road and Allandale Road) to the middle of the Opihi River; thence north-westerly generally along the middle of that river to a point opposite Firewood Stream, Block XIII, Opuha Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the middle of Firewood Stream to Tekapo Saddle on the Two Thumb Range; thence northerly generally along the summit of the Two Thumb Range, to and along the eastern boundary of Run 77A (Mesopotamia); thence south-easterly and north-easterly generally along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of that run to and along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Pastoral Run 241 (Ben McLeod) to the southern boundary of Rural Section 36722, Block V, Mount Peel Survey District; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western boundaries of Rural Sections 36722, 36723, 36724, and Pastoral Run 251 to Trig. Station F, Block XV, Mount Peel Survey District; thence south-westerly generally along the watershed through Trig. Station H (Mount Peel) to and along Rocky Creek to the middle of the Orari River; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of that river to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF THE ALBURY RABBIT DISTRICT
All that area in the Counties of Mackenzie, Waimate, and Levels, Canterbury Land District, containing 178,550 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Rivers Opihi and Opuha, Block XIII, Opihi Survey District; thence south-easterly down the middle of the Opihi River to a point in line with Hazelburn Road; thence south-westerly generally to and along that road and Three Mile Bush Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 18519; thence south-easterly generally to and along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of that section and south-western boundary of Rural Section 5454, the north-western and south-western boundaries of Rural Section 20111, to a public road; thence south-westerly along that public road to Mowats Road; thence south-easterly generally along Mowats Road and Timewells Road to Sterndale Valley Road; thence southerly generally along Sterndale Valley Road, Moa Pass Road, Clellands Road and Clellands Bridge across the Tengawai River to the Timaru-Cromwell State Highway No. 60; thence westerly along that State highway to the Cave-Pareora Main Highway No. 223 (Cannington Road); thence southerly generally along that main highway to Burnettts Road; thence westerly generally along that road and the northern boundary of Section 1, Cannington Village Settlement; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said Section 1, across the Pareora River and along the eastern boundary of Rural Section 31306 to Cannington Road; thence westerly along that road and northerly along Gorge Road to the middle of the Pareora River; thence south-westerly along the middle of the Pareora River and south-easterly along a tributary of that river and continuing along a right line to the summit of Mount Nimrod; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station F on the summit of the Hunters Hills, Block II, Nimrod Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the south-western boundaries of Sections 10, 8, and 2, Mount Nessing Settlement, and continuing along the summit of the Hunters Hills to the southern boundary of Rural Section 36478; thence south-westerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of Lockharts Stream; thence northerly generally along that stream to Mackenzie Stream; thence easterly generally along the middle of that stream and the Tengawai River to a point in line with the southern boundary of former Rural Section 32070, Block XIII, Tengawai Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary, passing through part Rural Section 37501 and along a right line through S.G.R. 54 to the middle of a public road opposite the north-western corner of S.G.R. 51; thence northerly generally along that road which forms the western boundary of Rural Section 36091, the eastern boundary of Rural Sections 36465 and 36464, and along the watershed passing through Rural Section 38102, the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 36460 and 36459, and continuing along the watershed through Rural Sections 36458 and 36085 to the middle of the Opihi River at the junction of Firewood Stream; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of the Opihi River to the Geraldine-Fairlie Main Highway No. 116; thence north-easterly generally to and along that main highway to Pleasant Point-Fairlie Main Highway No. 298; thence south-easterly generally along that main highway to the middle of the Opihi River at Raincliff Bridge; thence easterly along the middle of that river to the point of commencement.

The boundaries of the Upper Pareora Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 28th day of September 1949,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
