Authorising the Laying Off of Murdoch Street in the City of Christchurch, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 24th day of June 1957

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Christchurch City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for the whole of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan referred to in the said Schedule as P.W.D. 153662 within a distance of 35 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, containing by admeasurement 39·4 perches, more or less, being part Lot 7, D.P. 11496, part Lot 7, D.P. 11130, and Lot 9, D.P. 14570, being part Rural Section 1252.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 153662 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Officers Authorised to Take Statutory Declarations

Pursuant to section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby authorises the persons named in the Schedule hereto, being the holders of the offices specified after their names, to take and receive statutory declarations under that section.

The Ellesmere Cemetery Order 1957

WHEREAS on the 7th day of November 1950* the Governor-General appointed the Ellesmere County Council to be the trustee of the Ellesmere Cemetery: And whereas on the 8th day of February 1957†, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, part of the land comprised in that cemetery was vested in the Council by the Minister of Lands as a reserve for gravel purposes instead of for cemetery purposes:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Cemeteries Act 1908, the Governor-General hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Ellesmere Cemetery Order 1957.

The Ellesmere Cemetery is hereby declared to consist of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

The Ellesmere County Council shall continue to be the trustee of the said cemetery and to have the control and management thereof under and for the purposes of the Cemeteries Act 1908.

This order is in substitution for the Warrant of appointment in respect of the Ellesmere Cemetery made on the 7th day of November 1950,* and that Warrant is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
ELLESMERE CEMETERY
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing 57 acres and 38 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1434 and balance of Reserve 1435, situated in Block I, Southbridge Survey District: as shown on plan marked 191/2/377 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Health, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 21st day of June 1957.

Exempting Land in the North Auckland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

Pursuant to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land containing 2 roods 8·4 perches, be the same a little more or less, being Allotment 73, and parts Allotments 52, 53, and 72, Town of Kamo, situated in Block VIII, Purua Survey District, being all the land in certificates of title, Volume 102, folio 5, and Volume 678, folio 85, Auckland Land Registry.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 17th day of June 1957.
