WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Dwelling Loan 1956 of £3,000
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Whakatane Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing a dwelling for Council staff, hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought six of a penny (0·06d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the Borough of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above-mentioned resolution was passed by the Whakatane Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 13th day of May 1957.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
MATAMATA COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (TOKOROA SECTION)-FIRST FIVE-YEARLY REVIEW
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, public notice is hereby given that the Matamata County District Scheme (Tokorua Section—First Five-yearly Review), under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 16th day of May 1957, after all objections, appeals (nil), and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals (nil) allowed and all variations of the scheme required by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board had been incorporated.
The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of June 1957.
Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council's office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

WAIKOUAITI BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikouaiti Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 9th day of May 1957, has resolved to prepare for the Borough of Waikouaiti a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Borough of Waikouaiti District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered to the Town Clerk's office on or before the 26th day of July 1957.

CANTERBURY AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, LINCOLN
ELECTION OF MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS
I hereby give public notice of the result of the casual election, held on Tuesday, the 14th day of May 1957, to fill one casual vacancy on the Board of Governors of Canterbury Agricultural College, as follows:
One member to be elected by the Members of the House of Representatives as for the time being represent electoral districts wholly or partly within the provincial district of Canterbury:
Harry Robson Lake, being the only nomination received at the closing of nominations on Tuesday, the 30th day of April 1957, declared duly elected to hold office subject to the provisions of the Canterbury Agricultural College Act 1930, its amendments and electoral bylaws.

Subscriptions.—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, £1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C. 1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
