NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.

Notice is hereby given that the Marlborough County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of public works, namely, a cemetery reserve; and notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the above Council, situated at Queen Street, Blenheim, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have any well grounded objections thereto, must state their objections in writing and lodge the same at the office of the County Clerk within forty days from the date of publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

All that parcel of land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 4, folio 25, Marlborough Land District, containing one acre, more or less, being part of the land on Deposited Plan 72, being part of Section 60, Omaka Registration District, Block XIV, Cloudy Bay Survey District.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928.

Notice is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public work, namely, to acquire land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of realigning Otaika Road in the Borough of Whangarei.

And notice is hereby given that a plan of the said land required is deposited at the public office of the Council situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Whangarei Borough Council at the address aforesaid.

SCHEDULE

All that area of land containing 2·2 perches, more or less, being part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 33326, being part of Raumanga No. 2 Block, situated in the XII Purua Survey District, and being part of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 869, folio 54, Auckland Registry, the said piece of land being coloured blue on Survey Office Plan No. 40011.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1926 and the Public Works Act 1928.

Notice is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of Robertson Street and Matauhi Road and the extension of Ashby Street, all being in the Town District of Russell, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the said lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council situate in Albert Street, Kawakawa, and also in the office of the Town Clerk to the Russell Town Council situate in Russell, and is open for public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; all persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Albert Street, Kawakawa.

PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paeroa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,000 (four thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Paeroa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the completion of the Paeroa War Memorial, the said Paeroa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal twenty-two pence (0·22d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Borough of Paeroa; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council held on the 9th day of May 1957.

NEW LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £17,000 authorised to be raised by the New Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for roading reconstruction purposes, the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal two five pence (0·25d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of New Lynn; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 30th day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF TAUMARUNUI

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL ORDER

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the completion of the new water supply, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rate-able property of the Borough of Taumarunui; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council on Wednesday, 24 April 1957.
