ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 15th day of May 1957
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice of and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Naenae College Board of Governors Order 1957.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1957. - The constitution of the Board of Governors of Naenae College, prescribed by the Naenae College Board of Governors Order 1953,* is hereby varied so that notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) Two members to be appointed by the Wellington Education Board:
(b) Four members to be elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school:
(c) Two members to be appointed by the Governor-General:
(d) One member to be appointed by the Lower Hutt City Council:
(e) One member to be elected by the members of the school committees of the Rata Street Public School, the Waddington Drive Public School, the Naenae Public School, and the Dyer Street Public School. - The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (e) of clause 2 of this order applies.
- The Naenae College Board of Governors Order 1953 is hereby revoked.

Laurence Gilbert Young (33180) is granted a short-service commission in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period of four years to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed to the rank of Acting Pilot Officer, with effect from 17 August 1956. This cancels previous temporary commission notified in Gazette No. 52, dated 20 September 1956, page 1295.
