NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore carried on by Edward Clarence Sparnon and Eric Leonard Barclay, as farmers, under the name of Sparnon and Barclay, at Hunua, has been dissolved. Creditors and debtors are requested to render or pay their accounts to Mr E. C. Sparnon, at 48 Kiwi Esplanade, Mangere, S.E. 6.

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE

THE Taieri Ridge Rabbit Board hereby gives notice that it has applied for a licence for a water race to divert 1/50th of a head of water for domestic purposes from a point in Coal Creek in Run 205c, Rock and Pillar District, about 20 chains from the eastern boundary of the said run; running thence in a south-easterly direction through the said run and part Section 5, Block VI, Rock and Pillar District, across the Dunedin-Cromwell railway line and terminating in applicant's property, being Section 6, Township of Newtown.
The application and all objections thereto will be heard on Wednesday, 12 June 1957, at 10 a.m., at the Warden’s Court at Cromwell, and all objections must be filed in the Registrar’s office and notified to the applicant or his solicitor at least three days before the time appointed.

NOTICE is hereby given, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, that the Whangarei County Council proposes, under the provisions of the said Act, to take the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public road; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of land required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Council situated in Rose Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; all persons affected by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said lands must lodge their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, Whangarei County Council, Rose Street, Whangarei.

KAITAIA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan No. 2 1955 of £40,000 (Third Issue of £15,000)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Kaitaia Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the said Kaitaia Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and constructing a sewerage disposal scheme within the Borough of Kaitaia, the said Kaitaia Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·50 of one penny in one pound (£1) on all rateable property of the Borough of Kaitaia; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 to be known as the Grafton Bridge Loan 1956 authorised to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out repairs to the Grafton Bridge and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-twentieths of a penny (3/20ths of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £254,000 to be known as the Avondale Drainage Loan 1957 authorised to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing drainage in the Avondale South - Blockhouse Bay area and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of one penny (5/8 of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £80,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Wellington Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for footpaths and provision of stormwater drainage, the said Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/10d. in the pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for land development, the said Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of ·861d. (decimal eight six one pence) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Borough of Papatoetoe; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
