LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes, by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, to wit, the extension of Taita Drive in the City of Lower Hutt, and for the purposes of such public work the Council requires to take the land more particularly described in the Schedules hereto for housing for street and in connection with street extension respectively; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Council, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection during ordinary office hours; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said pieces of land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situated as aforesaid.

(a) For Housing
- 1 acre and 7·89 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 2 on D.P. 6860, part Section 55, Hutt District, and part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 436, folio 270, Wellington Registry; coloured sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 23706.
- 28·82 perches, more or less, being part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 6492, part Section 55, Hutt District, and part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 447, folio 179, Wellington Registry; coloured sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 23706.
- 2 acres 1 rood 32·17 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2, Deposited Plan 6860, part Section 55, Hutt District, and part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 436, folio 270, Wellington Registry; coloured sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 23706.
- 1 acre 1 rood 17·84 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2, Deposited Plan 6860, part Section 55, Hutt District, and part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 436, folio 270, Wellington Registry; coloured sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 23706.
(b) For Street
1 acre and 16·41 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2, Deposited Plan 6860, part Section 55, Hutt District, and part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 436, folio 270, Wellington Registry; more particularly shown coloured sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 23706.
(c) In Connection With Street Extension
1 rood 18·33 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 6860, part Section 55, Hutt District, and part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 436, folio 270, Wellington Registry; shown coloured sepia, edged sepia, on Survey Office Plan No. 23706.
All the above pieces of land being situate in Block IX of the Belmont Survey District.

COUNTY OF STRATFORD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 4, 1956, £10,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act 1951, the Counties Act 1920, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on the Rural Housing Loan No. 4, 1956, £10,000, to be raised by the Stratford County Council, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/32d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Stratford; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Stratford County Council held at its offices on Friday, 15 March 1957.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Stratford was hereto affixed this 15th day of February 1957.

COUNTY OF STRATFORD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Bridge Loan 1957, £4,500, Makara Stream Bridge, Stanley Road
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act 1951, the Counties Act 1920, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on the Bridge Loan 1957, £4,500, Makara Stream Bridge, Stanley Road, to be raised by the Stratford County Council, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/64d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Stratford; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Stratford County Council held at its office on Friday, 12 April 1957, at 10.30 a.m.

Workers' Dwelling Loan, Whangamomona Riding
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act 1951, the Counties Act 1920, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on the Workers' Dwelling Loan, Whangamomona Riding, to be raised by the Stratford County Council, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 41/64d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Whangamomona Riding of the Stratford County; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Stratford County Council held at its offices on Friday, 12 April 1957, at 10.30 a.m.

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Office Building Loan 1956, £25,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) authorised to be raised by the Rotorua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting and equipping a County office building, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fourth of a penny (1/24d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Rotorua County Council held on the 19th day of March 1957.
