ORDER IN COUNCIL

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the New Zealand Insurance Co. Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Auckland, as trustees of the estate of Michael Aloysius Kennedy, and John Stephen Kennedy, of Karioi, farmer, and Charles Fairhall Treadwell, of Wanganui, solicitor, as trustees of the estate of John Nicholas Kennedy (hereinafter referred to as the licensees), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electric Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
2. In respect of the electric lines hereby authorised the licensees shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY
3. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (d) and (e) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
4. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1967.
SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from a pole situated on the eastern boundary of Section 8A and proceeding generally north-westerly to a transformer situated in the said Section 8A and thence:
(a) In a north-westerly direction across a road to a residence situated in the said Section 8A; and
(b) In a south-easterly direction to a second residence situated in the said Section 8A.
All being situated in Block XIII, Karioi Survey District, in the County of Waimarino.
The said lines being more particularly shown by means of red and black lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 433 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Thomas Robert Anderson, of Kongahu, dairy farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee's generator situated in part Section 8, Block II, Kongahu Survey District, in the County of Buller, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction across the Westport-Karamea Road to a house situated in part Section 8, aforesaid; the said lines being more particularly shown by means of a blue line on the plan marked S.H.D. 365 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Constituting the Whitcombe Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 6288)

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby constitutes and declares the area of land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto, being an area to which subsection (1) of section 14 of the Rabbits Act 1955 applies, a rabbit district, and appoints that the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Whitcombe Rabbit District, and orders that the basis on which the Rabbit Board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the ratepayer.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE WHITCOMBE RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Ashburton County, containing 199,475 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Rakaia River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 36983 in Block VI, Hutt Survey District; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Double Hill Road; thence north-westerly along that road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Rural Section 33501, thence westerly to and along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Run 277 (Mount Hutt); thence northerly generally along the eastern boundary of that run and its production to the middle of Little River; thence south-westerly and north-westerly generally along the middle of that river, to and along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Run 266 (Glenrock) to the middle of Campbells Stream; thence again south-westerly along the middle of that stream, to and north-westerly along the middle of the Ashburton River (North Branch) to its confluence with Boundary Creek; thence south-westerly generally along the middle of that creek and continuing to Mount Taylor on the summit of the Taylor Range in Block X, Somers Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the summit of the Taylor Range to the south-east boundary of Run 118A (Double Hill); thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boundary of Run 118A, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Run 117 (Upper Lake Heron) to the shore of Lake Heron; and continuing north-westerly along the shore of that lake to the mouth of the Cameron River; thence to and up the middle of that river, to and north-westerly generally along the south-western boundary of Run 117 to the south bank of the Rakaia River; thence due north to the middle of that river; thence south-easterly generally down the middle of the Rakaia River to the point of commencement.
