Amending Declaration of Land, Southland Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 7 July 1932, Volume II, page 1611, notifying and declaring an area of land to be a sanctuary under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921–22, and hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
LOT 11, D.P. 3030, being part of Section 19, Block XXI, Invercargill Hundred: Area, 283 acres 3 roods 18 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 142, folio 226.
As shown on plan marked I.A. 52/393 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of April 1957.

Crown Land Subject to an Electricity Easement Set Apart for the Purposes of the Avondale-Onehunga-Southdown Railway at Mount Roskill

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of the Avondale-Onehunga-Southdown Railway, subject to an electricity easement created in and by memorandum of transfer No. 330882, Auckland Registry; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 13th day of May 1957.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 19 acres 2 roods 7·2 perches.
Being part Allotment 91, Parish of Titirangi.
Situated in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, Borough of Mount Roskill, Auckland R.D. (S.O. 39125.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 13669 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Validating Proceedings in Connection With the Castlepoint County Council's Loan of £25,000

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Whereas the Castlepoint County Council is proceeding by way of special order to raise a loan of £25,000 to be known as Highway and Bridges Loan 1956 (hereinafter called “the said loan”):
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the said loan have been irregular or defective in that the confirming meeting as required by paragraph (b) of section 99 of the Counties Act 1920 (as substituted by section 13 of the Counties Amendment Act 1949) was held sooner than the 28th day after the day of the special meeting held pursuant to paragraph (a) of the said section 99:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district have not been misled by such irregularity or defect as aforesaid and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 130 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the confirming meeting had been held not sooner than the 28th day after the day of such special meeting, and hereby further orders and declares that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan, or of the security for the said loan, shall not be questioned by reason only of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.

Authorising the Investment of £5,750 of the Wellington Harbour Board Funds

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Wellington Harbour Board to invest the sum of £5,750 from its General Insurance Fund in debentures of the Featherston Borough Council Water Supply Loan 1955 to bear interest at the rate of 4⅞ per cent for a period of ten years from the 1st day of June 1957.
