CORRIGENDUM

In the notice of the result of a poll on the proposal of the Paeroa Borough Council to raise a loan of £86,500 for water supply, published in Gazette, No. 28, of 11 April 1957, at page 635, the Mayor’s signature should read, “L. J. SHAW” instead of “R. J. SHAW”.

Declaring Lands in Wellington Land District, Vested in the Wellington and Wanganui Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation.

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Wellington and Wanganui Education Boards as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 202, Block XII, Mangaone Survey District: Area, 20 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 12637.)

Also parts Lot 2, D.P. 309, being part Hapopo Block, situated in Block III, Ongo Survey District: Area, 2 acres, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 156, folio 121, and Volume 86, folio 114. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1044c deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Also section 111, Block XIV, Apiti Survey District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 3 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 192, folio 188. (S.O. Plan 23742.)

Also part Section 6, Block XII, Rarete Survey District, being all the land in D.P. 3033: Area, 3 acres and 26 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 230, folio 9. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1044b deposited in the Head Office Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of April 1957.

Crown Land Set Apart for State Housing Purposes in Block VIII, Teviotdale Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 13th day of May 1957.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Canterbury Land District containing 35·1 perches, situated in Block VIII, Teviotdale Survey District, and being Lot 3, D.P. 15354, being part Rural Section 2759. Formerly part certificate of title, Volume 538, folio 102, Canterbury Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 3rd day of May 1957.
