Declaring Lands in Marlborough and Southland Land Districts
Vested in the Wellington and Southland Education Boards
as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty
the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is
provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any
other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time,
by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a
school site which in his opinion is no longer required for
that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon
the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest
in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational
trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encum-
brances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of
the Proclamation;
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of
the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby
Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the First
Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wellington
Education Board, and the land described in the Second
Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Southland Educa-
tion Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her
Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educa-
tional trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases,
encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the
date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 5, Block VII, Gore Survey District: Area, 3 acres,
more or less. (S.O. Plan 262.)

SECOND SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 16, Block IV, Oteramika Hundred: Area, 10 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 18th day of April 1957.

Crown Land Set Apart for Post and Telegraph Purposes
(Postmaster's Residence) in the City of Auckland

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
set apart for Post and Telegraph purposes (postmaster's resi-
dence); and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 6th day of May 1957.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of Crown land in the North Auckland Land
District containing 25Β·7 perches, situated in the City of
Auckland, Auckland R.D., and being Lot 78, D.P. 42380.
Formerly part certificate of title, Volume 434, folio 202,
Auckland Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 18th day of April 1957.
