CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY
SAINTS BILL

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled "An Act" to declare the trusts upon which certain real and personal property is now held by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Trust Board (Incorporated) having its registered office at Scotia Place in the City of Auckland (hereinafter referred to as "the Board") to confer certain necessary powers upon the Board and to provide rules for the Board and for other incidental matters to facilitate the management and administration of such real and personal property vested in the Board.

Notice is hereby given that Ariel Smith Ballif, of Auckland, the duly appointed controlling officer of the Church in New Zealand and designated the President of the Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in New Zealand, intends to present a petition to the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled for the passing of the above-mentioned Bill. The objects of the Bill are:
(a) To provide a set of rules for the said Board.
(b) To declare the trusts upon which real and personal property is vested in the said Board.
(c) To confirm the appointment of the present trustee members of the Board.
(d) To confer upon the Board:
(1) Power to hold land and money and other property.
(2) Specific powers with reference to all such property.
(3) To petition the Supreme Court to grant special powers.
(4) To accept the office of trustee.
(5) To operate a Common Investment Fund.
(e) To grant protection to all persons who may have dealings with the Board and other incidental powers.

The promoter of the Bill is the above-named Ariel Smith Ballif whose address is care of Messrs Luke, Cunningham and Clere, solicitors, 328 Lambton Quay, Wellington, to which address all communications and notices may be sent.

Printed copies of the Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill Office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, on the 26th day of April 1957, and the Bill may be inspected at the Office of Messrs Luke, Cunningham and Clere, the appointed solicitors for the promoter at the address aforesaid, and also at the office of Messrs Sellar, Bone and Cowell, solicitors for the Board, at their legal office, Royal Insurance Buildings, 109 Queen Street, in the City of Auckland.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscriptions.-The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, £1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
