WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR RECREATION GROUND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments, and the Counties Act 1956.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and formation of a recreation ground passing through or adjoining the parcel of land referred to hereunder and situated in Titirangi Riding of the County of Waitemata, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council situated at the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land must state their objection in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of land required to be taken: 2 roods 0·4 perch, being part Allotment 53, Waikomiti Parish, coloured blue on plan.
Being situated in Block VI, Titirangi Survey District, in the Land District of North Auckland.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, and the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes, by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work: to wit, the provision of a reserve in the City of Lower Hutt by way of extension of Riddiford Park, and for the purposes of such public work the Council requires to take the land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Council, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said pieces of land should, if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situated as aforesaid.

- 29·85 perches, more or less, being part of Section 25 of the Hutt District, and being also part of Lots 4 and 5 on Deposited Plan No. 664, and being the balance of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 204, folio 35.
- 29·83 perches, more or less, being part of Section 25 of the Hutt District, and being part of Lot 5 on Deposited Plan No. 664, and the balance of the land in certificate of title, Volume 201, folio 29.
- 30·41 perches, more or less, being part of Section 25 of the Hutt District, and being also part of Lots 5 and 6 on Deposited Plan No. 664, and being the balance of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 130, folio 193, Wellington Registry.
- 31·51 perches, more or less, being part of Section 25 of the Hutt District, and being also parts of Lots 5 and 6 on Deposited Plan No. 1517, and being the balance of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 436, folio 230, Wellington Registry.
All of which said pieces of land are more particularly shown coloured blue, yellow, pink, and green respectively on the said plan deposited for inspection at the offices of the Council as aforesaid.

MARLBOROUGH ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Development Loan, 1956, £85,000
NOTICE is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Marlborough Electric Power Board held on the 16th day of April 1957, the following resolution was passed:
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Marlborough Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Board's Development Loan 1956 of eighty-five thousand pounds (£85,000) authorised to be raised by the Marlborough Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Marlborough Electric Power District, the Marlborough Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and fifteen thousandths of one penny (0·115d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Marlborough Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully repaid."

PAPARUA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Upper Riccarton Water Supply Loan 1957, £8,300
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Paparua County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,300 to be known as the Upper Riccarton Water Supply Loan 1957 authorised to be raised by the Paparua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing from the Government that part of the Upper Riccarton high-pressure water supply system in the Paparua County, the said Paparua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·275d. in the pound on the rateable capital value of all property served by the water supply system; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Amuri County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £17,500 (Seventeen thousand five hundred pounds) authorised to be raised by the Amuri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council's share of the cost of an improved supply of water for Hanmer Township, the said Amuri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 1·29d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the Hanmer water-supply special area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Amuri County Council held on the 5th day of April 1957.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 12th day of April 1957, cancelled the registry of St. Thomas's Branch, No. 867, a branch of the New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (register No. 198/115), held at Rakaia, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.
