A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Archibald Browne and Thomas Archibald Browne, both of Orawia, farmers, as tenants in common in equal shares, under and by virtue of lease in perpetuity No. 185, Volume 141, folio 154, Southland Land Registry, is hereby taken for the development of water power (substation).
SCHEDULE
All that piece of land in the Southland Land District containing 2 roods 9·9 perches, situated in Block X, Waiau Survey District, Southland R.D., and being part Section 41, Merrivale Settlement; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 153123 (S.O. 6365) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 8th day of April 1957.

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 71 of the Fire Services Act 1949, I Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a fire station and shall vest in the Christchurch Fire Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 15th day of April 1957.

All that piece of land in the Canterbury Land District containing 37·8 perches, situated in the City of Christchurch, being part Lot 64, D.P. 140, being part Rural Section 15837. All certificate of title, Volume 295, folio 3, Canterbury Land Registry.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for State housing purposes, subject to a building-line restriction imposed by K. 32487, Wellington Land Registry; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 15th day of April 1957.
