Block XIV, Geraldine Survey District, indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 92087, deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

  1. The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 92087.

(a) Headworks consisting of an intake with a water race and pipelines leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to giving a static head of approximately 15 ft.
(b) Turbines and generator with all necessary equipment for generating electricity situated in Rural Sections 5961 and 11526, Block XIV, Geraldine Survey District.
(c) Tail race leading from the said turbines back to the said stream.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (j) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and shall be a direct-current system at a normal rated pressure of 60 volts.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1978.

RENTAL

  1. For purposes of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the commencement of this licence is 1Β·68 kilowatts.

NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED

  1. Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

Authorising the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect Certain Electric Lines

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from Sawyers Creek (hereinafter referred to as the said stream), situated in Block XIV, Mueller Survey District, in the County of Mackenzie, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 5 cubic feet per second at any one time, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines hereinafter described.

CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS

  1. Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the the said stream at the point in Block XIV, Mueller Survey District, indicated on the plan marked S.H.D. 429 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

  1. The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 429.

(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a pipeline leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 600 ft.
(b) Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Block XIV, Mueller Survey District.

(c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse to the Tasman River.
(d) Electric lines leading from the said powerhouse and proceeding generally in a westerly direction across Black Birch Creek and Glencoe Creek to the hotel substation situated in Block X, Mueller Survey District, the said lines being more particularly shown by means of a red line on the said plan S.H.D. 429.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be an alternating-current system as described in paragraphs (a), (d), and (f) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1978.

  1. For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the commencement of this licence is 150 kilowatts.

NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED

Authorising the New Zealand and Australian Land Co. Ltd. to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to the New Zealand and Australian Land Co. Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Edinburgh and its head office in New Zealand, at Dunedin, (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from Camp Stream (hereinafter referred to as the said stream), and an unnamed lake (hereinafter referred to as the said lake), both being situated in Rural Sections 33297 and 33298, Block X, Jollie Survey District, in the County of Mackenzie, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 7 cubic feet per second at any one time.

  1. The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 92313.

(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake in the said stream with water races from the said stream and said lake to a surge well and pipeline leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to giving a static head of approximately 70 ft.
(b) Water wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Rural Section 33297, Block X, Jollie Survey District.
(c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse to the said stream.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as classified under paragraphs (f) and (j) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The generating voltage shall be approximately 200/110 volts, three phase, and the transmission voltage shall be approximately 3,300 volts, three phase.
