Declaring Maori Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

All that area of land containing 893 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XI and XV, D'Urville Survey District, being Lot 1, D.P. 5231, being part of the land known as Rangitoto 3B, Section 2.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of March 1957.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 8th day of April 1957.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of Crown land in the Otago Land District containing 1 rood 5·75 perches, situated in Block II, Teviot District, and being Lot 3, D.P. 7861, part Section 33. Formerly part certificate of title, Volume 368, folio 135, Otago Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 2nd day of April 1957.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of Crown land in the Marlborough Land District containing 37·91 perches, situated in Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District, Marlborough R.D. being Lot 1, D.P. 2194, being part Section 207, Kaikoura Suburban. Formerly part certificate of title, Volume 50, folio 256, Marlborough Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day of March 1957.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a secondary school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 8th day of April 1957.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of land in the Taranaki Land District containing 3 roods 11·2 perches, situated in Block IV, Paritutu Survey District, Taranaki R.D., and being Section 919, Grey District (formerly closed road); as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 153056 (S.O. 8819) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 2nd day of April 1957.

All that piece of Crown land in the Taranaki Land District containing 14 acres and 3 perches, situated in the Borough of Stratford, Taranaki R.D., and being part Section 84, Block II, Ngaere Survey District. All certificate of title, Volume 92, folio 293, Taranaki Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 2nd day of April 1957.

All that piece of Crown land in the Canterbury Land District containing 31·5 perches, situated in the Borough of Waimate, Canterbury R.D., being part Reserve 145 (Crown land); as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 153049 (S.O. 9084) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day of March 1957.
