MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Municipal Buildings Supplementary Loan 1957, £3,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500) authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for completing work under the purposes for which the Municipal Buildings Loan 1956, £35,000, was raised, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of a penny (1/32d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Street Improvement Loan 1952, £154,700, Final Issue of £44,700

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £44,700 being the final issue of the Street Improvement Loan 1952 of £154,700 as authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing, surfacing, widening, and re-surfacing roads and constructing footpaths, kerbs, and channels, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and forty-four one-thousandths (144/1000ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 30th day of April 1956.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Airport Improvement Loan 1955, £65,400, Final Issue of £50,400

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50,400 being the final issue of the Airport Improvement Loan 1955 of £65,400 as authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of meeting half the cost of constructing a hard-surfaced runway at Milson Aerodrome and carrying-out alterations to the Administration Building, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and forty-six one-thousandths (146/1000ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 30th day of April 1956.

PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000 authorised to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting pensioners' flats, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-six thousandths of a penny (0.056d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Pukekohe; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council held on the 20th day of March 1957.

KAMO TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Kamo Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand five hundred pounds (£6,500) authorised to be raised by the Kamo Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of kerbing, channelling, and footpaths in the Town District of Kamo, the said Kamo Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (1/2d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the Town District of Kamo; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers it thereunto enabling the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves:

"That, for the purpose of providing the redemption payments payable in respect of a loan of £68,000, authorised to be raised by the Council by an Order in Council made on 16 January 1957 and published in the Gazette, No. 6, of 24 January 1957, at page 108, and interest and other charges thereon (which said loan of £68,000 is the fourth issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1953, authorised to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Act by a poll of ratepayers the result of such poll being published in the Gazette, No. 1, of 7 January 1954, at page 54), the said loan of £68,000 being for the purpose of the construction of streets within the City of New Plymouth, including (a) the reconstruction, grading, formation, metalling, gravelling, and surface-sealing of carriageways and footways in street; (b) the construction and provision of channels, kerbs, and retaining walls in streets; and (c) the provision and laying of pipes and drains to convey stormwater from or under streets; the Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (1/4d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth (excluding however the area included in the City by Order in Council made on 8 August 1955 and published in the Gazette, No. 52, of 11 August 1955, at page 1258); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on 19 March 1957.
