WAIRARAPA CATCHMENT BOARD

HOUSING LOAN 1956, £3,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Wairarapa Catchment Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Wairarapa Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act, the said Wairarapa Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·00171d. in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property within the Board's district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Wairarapa Catchment Board, held on Tuesday, 24 July 1956, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Board, held on Tuesday, 28 August 1956.

KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL

POLL UNDER SECTION 44 OF THE RATING ACT 1925

PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that the number of votes received for and against the proposal to abandon the system of unimproved rating for the Borough of Kaiapoi, as decided at a poll of ratepayers taken on 23 February 1957, was as follows:

For unimproved value ... 368
Against unimproved value ... 183
Informal ... 2

I, therefore, declare the proposal was rejected.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, £1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
