Authorising the Taranaki Electric Power Board to Erect and
Use Electric Lines Within Parts of the Stratford County

At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby authorises the Taranaki Electric Power Board
(hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the con-
ditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place,
and use electric lines within the areas of supply described in the
Schedule hereto; and further, for the purposes of section 76 of
the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, subject to the said con-
ditions, hereby authorises the licensee to construct electric
works within the said areas of supply.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
1.The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical
Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall
form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be
inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
2.The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by
the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the
Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference
Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in
amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY
3.The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs
(a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (j) of Regulation 21-01 of
the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The system of supply
authorised under paragraph (j) aforesaid shall be a single-
conductor earth-return system. The use of the earth-return
system of supply shall be subject to such terms and conditions
as are from time to time laid down by the General Manager of
the State Hydro-electric Department.
DURATION OF LICENCE
4.This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined,
continue in force until the 16th day of July 1965.
SCHEDULE
AREAS OF SUPPLY
1.All that portion of the Stratford County included in the
Taranaki Electric Power District by the Proclamation dated
the 17th day of March 1955 and published in the Gazette on
the 24th day of the same month, at page 425.
2.All that portion of the Stratford County (formerly portion
of the Whangamomona County) included in the Taranaki
Electric Power District by the Proclamation dated the 25th
day of October 1955 and published in the Gazette on the 3rd
day of November 1955, at page 1701.

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Taranaki
Harbour Board to invest the sum of £8,000 in debentures of
the Napier Harbour Board's Harbour Works Loan 1955, to
bear interest at the rate of 4⅜ per cent per annum and to
mature on the 1st day of September 1965.

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the service lane described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
be under the control and management of the Makara County
Council.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land in the Wellington Land District,
containing 34.08 perches, situated in Block XI, Paekakariki
Survey District, Wellington R.D., being part Lots 85, 87, 89,
91, 93, and 96, D.P. 9622, and part Lots 90 and 92, D.P. 9417,
being part Section 110, Porirua District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 152255
(S.O. 23649) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works
at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the East Coast Bays Borough Council to permit the laying off
of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a
width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less
than 40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part
of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown
edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 152841 referred to in
the Schedule hereto, within a distance of 35 ft. from the centre
line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District
situated in the Borough of East Coast Bays, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being part
north-western portion of Allotment 193 and part Allotment
287, Parish of Takapuna.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 152841 deposited in the office of the Minister

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets
apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto
for the common use and benefit of the Maori people resident
in the Omapere District as a Maori reservation for the pur-
poses of a meeting place and recreation ground.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area of land situated in Block XI, Omapere Survey
District, containing 4 acres 1 rood, more or less, and being
all of the land known as Omapere 1B 2A; as described by
partition order of the Maori Land Court dated 21 June 1956,
and as is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered
M.A. 21/3/191 lodged in the Head Office of the Department
of Maori Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
