MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pakuranga Water Supply Reticulation Extension Loan
No. 3 1956, £23,600
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926 and all other
powers it thereunto enabling, the Manukau County Council
hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £23,600 authorised to be raised by the
Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of carrying out works of water supply within the
Pakuranga Water Supply Reticulation Extension Loan No. 3
Special Rating Area, the said Manukau County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of thirty-nine sixty-fourths of
a penny (39/64d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on
the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the
Pakuranga Water Supply Reticulation Extension Loan No. 3
Special Rating Area more particularly described in the
schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and payable
yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, of approxi-
mately 625 acres, bounded by a line commencing at a
point on the right bank of the Tamaki River in Block III,
Otahuhu Survey District, being the northernmost corner of
Lot 3, D.P. 19710, being part Allotment 13, Pakuranga Parish,
and running generally south-easterly along the northern
boundary of that Lot 3 to and along the western side of
Hattaways Road to a point in line with the southern boundary
of Lot 3, D.P. 506, being part Allotment 14 of the aforesaid
parish; thence along a right line across Hattaways Road to
and along that southern boundary to and along a right line
parallel to and 400 links distant from the eastern side of the
aforesaid road to and along the southern boundaries of Lots
2 and 2A, D.P. 506, being part Allotment 14 aforesaid, to
and along the northern side of the Ellerslie-Howick Main
Highway to the right bank of a tributary of the Pakuranga
Creek; thence southerly down that right bank to and along the
southern side of the Ellerslie-Howick Main Highway aforesaid,
to and along a right line parallel to and 400 links distant from
the eastern side of Udy’s Road to and along another right line
parallel to and 360 links distant from and south of the
southern side of Reeves Road to the eastern side of W. Roberts
Road, and along another right line across that road to and
along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 36, 33, 32, 31, and
30, D.P. 14882, being parts Fairburns Grant, and down the
right bank of the Tamaki River to the point of commencement.
I, Hugh Drummond Lambie, Chairman of the Manukau
County Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was
duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau County Council
held on the 11th day of December 1956.

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewerage Completion Loan 1956, £26,000, First Issue, £10,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Opotiki
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the
Opotiki Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of providing drainage and sewerage works and
works for the disposal of sewage within the Borough of
Opotiki, the said Opotiki Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of point seven four seven pence (0·747d.)
in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
in the Borough of Opotiki; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
properly constituted meeting of the Opotiki Borough Council
held on the 3rd day of January 1957.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments
and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes,
under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts,
powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a
certain public work, namely, a street at Curtis Street in the City
of Wellington, and for the purpose of such public work the lands
described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer
Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection with-
out fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all
persons affected by the execution of the said work or the taking
of such lands should, if they have well grounded objections to
the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said
lands, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within
forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington
City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.
