Cancellation of Special Arrangements for Medical and Pharmaceutical Services for Residents of Kati Kati Special Area
NOTICE is hereby given that the special arrangements heretofore existing in the Kati Kati special area, pursuant to section 82 of the Social Security Act 1938, for the provision, without charge, of medical and pharmaceutical requirements provided as benefits in accordance with the Social Security (Medical Benefits) Regulations 1941* and the Social Security (Pharmaceutical Supplies) Regulations 1941† are cancelled as from 31 December 1956.
The effect of the cancellation of those special arrangements is that the general provisions made in those regulations for the provision of medical benefits and pharmaceutical benefits under the Social Security Act 1938 will apply in respect of persons for the time being resident in the Kati Kati special area on and after 1 January 1957.

Deficiency Payments in Respect of Export Meat
PURSUANT to the Meat Export Prices Act 1955, notice is hereby given that the deficiency payments set out in the Schedule hereto may be made to the owners in accordance with that Act for the classes of meat specified in the said Schedule for the week commencing on Monday, the 14th day of January 1957.
SCHEDULE
Class of Meat Amount of Deficiency Payment Chilled beef 1½d. per pound. Ox and heifer quarter beef ⅝d. per pound. Quarter cow beef ¼d. per pound.
