Leasehold Estates in Land Taken for the Development of Water Power (Waitaki River Power Scheme) in Blocks V and IX, Pukaki Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land first described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Charles William Feilden Hamilton, of Irishman Creek, Fairlie, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 529, folio 19, Canterbury Land Registry, and the leasehold estate in the land secondly and seventhly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by William Arthur Grant, of Elloughton Grange, farmer, Donelda Richards, wife of Edward John Richards, of Hadlow, studmaster, Donette Grant, of Elloughton Grange, spinster, and Denise Hudson, wife of Phillip Peter Hudson, of Fairlie, sheepfarmer, under and by virtue of Crown leases, Volume 529, folio 16, and Volume 529, folio 45 respectively, Canterbury Land Registry, and the leasehold estate in the land thirdly to sixthly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by James Angus McLean, of Mary Hill Station, Mackenzie County, farmer, under and by virtue of Crown lease, Volume 529, folio 200, Canterbury Land Registry, are hereby taken for the development of water power (Waitaki River Power Scheme).

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for waterworks and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Marlborough as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 11th day of February 1957.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land in the Marlborough Land District, containing 305 acres 2 roods 16 perches, situated in Block XI, Arapawa Survey District, and Block XII, Linkwater Survey District, Marlborough R.D., and being part 2c 2 Waikawa Maori Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 152610 (S.O. 4242) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
