A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby pro-
claim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto;
and also hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the
Second Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land
described in the First and Second Schedules hereto and com-
prised in roadways laid out by the Maori Land Court by
orders dated the 2nd day of October 1952 and the 18th day of
December 1953 respectively, to be road.

Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in
Block III, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the land which is described in the Schedule
hereto (and which was taken for the East Coast Main Trunk
Railway (parts Rangitaiki and Awakeri Sections) and is not
now required for that purpose) shall, upon the publication
hereof in the Gazette, become road, and that such road shall
be maintained by the National Roads Board in like manner as
other public highways are controlled and maintained by the
said Board.

perches.

Declaring Land, Taranaki Land District, as a Wildlife Refuge
in the Taranaki Acclimatisation District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the
area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge
for the purposes of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
THE Islands of Motu-O-Tamatea, Pararaki, and Mataora, situ-
ated in Block IV, Paritutu Survey District, the said land being
more particularly shown on a plan deposited in the office of
the Chief Surveyor at New Plymouth as No. 7675. Area: 5
acres 3 roods, more or less. As the same is shown on plan
marked I.A. 52/411 deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 12th day of December 1956.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the
area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge
for the purposes of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
LOT 2, D.P. 7575, being part Section 550, Patea District, situ-
ated in Block IX, Hawera Survey District. Area: 23 acres 3
roods 25 perches, more or less. Certificate of title, Volume 200,
folio 72. As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/412
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs,
at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 12th day of December 1956.
