A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land, being closed road, described in the First Schedule hereto, to be added to the Maheno Domain described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of closed road: 2 acres and 20 perches.
Being closed road adjoining or passing through part Section 2 of 22, Railway land, being part Section 2 of 22, and Shingle Bank, Block VII, Oamaru Survey District, and being the closed road in Proclamation No. 7094, Otago Land Registry, Otago R.D. (S.O. 12264.)
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 152085 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
SECOND SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the Maheno Domain: 41 acres 2 roods 20 perches.
Being part Section 2 of 22 and a Shingle Bank, Block VII, Oamaru Survey District, Otago R.D.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 14th day of December 1956.

Being portion of Dale Road.
Situated in Block X, Hawera Survey District, Hawera County. (S.O. 8811.)
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14482 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured green, edged green.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Alan Edwin Lucas, of Kingston, farmer, by William Lott, of Garston, farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 17th day of August 1938 and published in the Gazette on the 18th day of the same month, at page 1860, authorising John Aloysius McCaughan, of Kingston, farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been previously assigned to the said William Lott.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the Maori people of the Ngati te Hora and Ngati Paoa tribes as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place.
