Deficiency Payments in Respect of Export Meat

Pursuant to the Meat Export Prices Act 1955, notice
is hereby given that the deficiency payments set out in
the Schedule hereto may be made to the owners in accordance
with that Act for the classes of meat specified in the
said Schedule for the week commencing on Monday, the
10th day of December 1956.

SCHEDULE

Class of Meat Amount of Deficiency


Chilled beef $1\frac{1}{2}$d. per pound.
Ox and heifer quarter beef $\frac{5}{8}$d. per pound.
Quarter cow beef $\frac{3}{4}$d. per pound.

Plant Declared a Noxious Weed in the Borough of Stratford
(Notice No. Ag. 6208)

Pursuant to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General
of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the
Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby
publishes the following special order made by the Stratford
Borough Council on the 3rd day of December 1956.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT the Stratford Borough Council, in exercise of the powers
conferred upon it by section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act
1950, does hereby declare that water hyacinth (Eichhornia
crassipes
), a plant included in the First Schedule to the said
Act, is a noxious weed within the Borough of Stratford.
