Rules of Stratford Acclimatisation Society Approved
PURSUANT to section 29 (4) of the Wildlife Act 1953, the
Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that the rules
of the Stratford Acclimatisation Society have been approved
by him under that subsection.

Date of Election of Members of Fire Boards by
Fire Insurance Companies
PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, it is hereby notified
that an election by the fire insurance companies carrying
on business in New Zealand of members of the
under-mentioned Fire Boards will be held on Tuesday, the
12th day of February 1957, at 12 noon, in the manner prescribed by the said Act. The number of members to be
elected in the case of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board,
the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board, and the North Shore
Fire Board shall be four. In the case of Christchurch, Hastings,
Napier, Nelson, Wanganui, and Wellington Fire Boards, the
number shall be three, and in all others two members.

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 10) 1956
PURSUANT to regulation 15 of the Import Control Regulations
1938,* the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control
    Exemption Notice (No. 10) 1956.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 14th day of
    December 1956.
  2. Goods of the classes specified in the First Schedule hereto,
    imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any
    country other than the countries specified in the Second
    Schedule hereto, are hereby exempted from the requirement
    of a licence under the said regulations.
    FIRST SCHEDULE

    275 Envelopes and bags made of plastic material,
    including celluloid, n.e.i.
    276 Handbills n.e.i., circulars, programmes, play-
    bills, printed posters, trade catalogues,

    ruled, as may be approved by the Minister.

    Ex (1) Printers' cards in blank form whether or not edged or embossed, but not printed.

    Revokes exemption in Gazette, No. 63, of 2 August 1951, covering stationery n.e.i. (excluding cards, printers' menu, etc.) under Tariff item 305.

    Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work at Heretaunga and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
    PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
    Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in
    the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land
    Act 1948 as from the 17th day of December 1956.
