PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

The South-eastern Side of Portion of Davis Street in the City of Wellington Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the 15th day of August 1956 and set out in the First Schedule hereto, insofar as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in Wellington City, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the south-eastern side of the portion of Davis Street adjoining part 11 N.2, Pipitea Pa, and Section 1196, Town of Wellington, being all (or part) of the land in certificates of title, Volume 407, folio 284, and Volume 673, folio 21, Wellington Registry; as is more particularly shown on the plan annexed hereto.
SECOND SCHEDULE
The south-eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Davis Street, fronting Section 1196, Town of Wellington, and part Subdivision No. 2 of 11 N, Pipitea Pa Reserve.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 152219 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 1 rood 39.2 perches.
Being part Rural Section 1890.
Situated in Block VIII, Oxford Survey District, Canterbury R.D. (S.O. 8925.)

Onslow College Board of Governors Order 1956

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914 as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Onslow College Board of Governors Order 1956.
  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors for Onslow College prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914 is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Wellington Education Board:
    (b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school:
    (c) One member appointed by the Governor-General:
    (d) One member appointed by the Victoria University College Council:
    (e) Two members elected by the members of the school committees of the Johnsonville Public School, the Johnsonville West Public School, the Khandallah Public School, the Newlands Public School, the Ngaio Public School, and the Ohariu Valley Public School.
  3. The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (e) of clause 2 of this order applies.

    Authorising the Auckland City Council to Reclaim Land in Hobson Bay, Auckland Harbour

    At the Government House at Wellington this 5th day of December 1956
    Present:
    HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland City Council to reclaim from the sea in Hobson Bay, Auckland Harbour, the land cross hatched red on plan marked M.D. 10105 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such reclamation to be carried out and constructed in accordance with the said plan.
