PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Airport Improvement Loan 1955, £65,400, First Issue of £15,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000, being the first issue of the Airport Improvement Loan 1955 of £65,400 as authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of meeting half the cost of constructing a hard-surfaced runway at Milson Aerodrome and carrying out alterations to the administration building, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-two one-thousandths (42/1000) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 19th day of December 1955.

NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT OF MEMBERS' VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that the following special resolution was duly signed by all the shareholders in Wilkinson Brothers (Nelson) Limited (pursuant to section 300 of the Act) on the 20th day of January 1956.

"Resolved by way of special resolution under section 221 (1) (b) that the company be wound up voluntarily, that William Roland Pierce Jaques, of Nelson, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator and that the liquidator's remuneration be that fixed by the New Zealand Society of Accountants' current scale of charges."

KOWAI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Amberley Water Supply Loan 1953, £17,000 IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Kowai County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £17,000 authorised to be raised by the Kowai County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing a water supply for Amberley Riding and all necessary work incidental thereto, the said Kowai County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-sixteenth of a penny (1½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Amberley Riding of the County of Kowai; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

THE WEST END JOINERY COMPANY LIMITED

NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 300 (7) of the Companies Act 1933, that by extraordinary resolution of The West End Joinery Company Limited passed by means of an entry in its minute book in accordance with the provisions of section 300 (1) of the Companies Act 1933, the company be wound up on the grounds that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business; and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 300 (7) of the Companies Act 1933 on Monday, the 6th day of February 1956, in the Excelsior Hall, 77 Devon Street East, New Plymouth, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1955, £10,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting staff houses, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninth of a penny (¹/₉d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the whole of the rateable property in the County of Waitomo; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

Dated this 9th day of December 1955.
