ALL that area situated in the Stratford County commencing at a
point in the Patea River where it is intersected by the boundary of
the County of Stratford hereinbefore described, and proceeding up
the Patea River to the boundary of the Borough of Stratford;
thence northerly along the Borough boundary, to and generally
north-easterly along the boundary of the North Riding herein-
before described to the Makino Stream; thence down the middle
of the Makino Stream to the Waitara River and down the middle
of the Waitara River to a point in line with the western boundary
of Section 9, Block VIII, Huiroa Survey District; thence to and
generally northerly and easterly along the western and northern
boundaries of Sections 9 and 13, Block VIII, Huiroa Survey
District, and easterly along the northern boundary of Section 18,
Block V, Ngatimaru Survey District, to and up the Waitara River
to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 10,
Block V, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence to and south-easterly
along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 10, 14, and 15,
Block V, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence southerly by the
eastern boundary of part Section 17, Block X, to the Mohakau
Road, and generally easterly by the said road to and northerly,
easterly, and southerly along the western, northern, and eastern
boundaries of Section 43, Block VI, Ngatimaru Survey District;
thence to and generally southerly along the eastern boundaries
of part Section 3 and Sections 7 and 9, Block X, Ngatimaru Survey

westerly along the middle of that road to the south-western bound-

Block (1,466 acres) and part Toko B Block, D.P. 289 (686 acres),
to the Makuri Stream; thence down that stream to the Toko Road;
thence along that road to the northern boundary of Part B, D.P.
298; thence easterly along the said northern boundary to the
Mangaehu Stream; thence down that stream to the northern
boundary of Sub. 1, Matemateaonga Block; thence generally
easterly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Sub. 1,
Matemateaonga Block, to the southern boundary of the County
of Stratford, and thence generally south-westerly along the bound-
ary of the Stratford County hereinbefore described to the Patea
River, being the point of commencement.
BOUNDRIES OF WEST RIDING OF COUNTY OF STRATFORD
ALL that area situated in the Stratford County bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point being the summit of Mount Egmont;
thence generally easterly by a right line to the source of the Patea
River, and down that river to the boundary of the Borough of
Stratford and generally southerly and easterly along that boundary
to Brecken Road; thence south-easterly along that road to and
easterly along the northern boundary of Section 15, Block V,
Ngaere Survey District; thence southerly and westerly along the
eastern and southern boundaries of the said Section 15 and westerly
along the southern boundaries of Sections 13 and 11; thence
southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries
of Section 8 and the southern boundary of Section 5, all of Block V,
Ngaere Survey District; thence southerly by the eastern boundary
of Sections 2 and 20, Block V, to the Waingongoro Stream; thence
up that stream to and southerly along the eastern boundaries of
Sections 75 and 78, Block V, Ngaere Survey District, and the
production of the last-mentioned Section to the middle of Finnerty
Road; thence generally westerly and northerly along the boundary
of the Stratford County hereinbefore described to the summit of
Mount Egmont, being the point of commencement.
BOUNDRIES OF SOUTH RIDING OF COUNTY OF STRATFORD
ALL that area situated in the Stratford County bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the Patea River where it is intersected
by the boundary of the County of Stratford hereinbefore described,
and proceeding generally westerly along the said boundary of the
County of Stratford, to and generally northerly along the boundary
of the West Riding of the County of Stratford hereinbefore des-
cribed, to and easterly along the boundary of the Borough of
Stratford to the Patea River, and thence down the Patea River to
its intersection with the boundary of the County of Stratford,
being the point of commencement.
BOUNDRIES OF MANGAEHU RIDING OF COUNTY OF STRATFORD
ALL that area situated in the County of Stratford bounded as
follows: Commencing at a point being Trig. Station Whakaihuwaka
on Mount Humphries; thence westerly along the southern boundary
of the Pahautuhia Block to the north-eastern corner of Section 19,
Block XIII, Mahoe Survey District; thence generally southerly
by the eastern boundaries of sections 19 and 20, Block XIII afore-
said; thence generally westerly along the southern boundaries
of Sections 21, 22, 15, 12, and 9, Block XVI, Ngatimaru Survey
district; thence northerly and easterly along the western and
northern boundaries of Section 9, to and northerly along the west-
ern boundary of Section 8, and westerly and northerly along the

Ngatimaru Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to

BOUNDRIES OF NGATIMARU RIDING OF COUNTY OF STRATFORD
ALL that area situated in the County of Stratford bounded as
follows: Commencing at a point being the south-western corner
of Section 19, Block V, Ngatimaru Survey District, being a point
on the boundary of the County of Stratford hereinbefore described;
thence generally north-easterly by that boundary to the north-
western corner of Section 2, Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey
District; thence generally southerly by the western boundaries of
Sections 2 and 1, Block XVI, and Section 9, Block XV, Upper
Waitara Survey District, to the northern side of Tirangi Road;
thence easterly generally by the northern side of that road to a
point in line with the western boundary of Section 11, Block XV,
Upper Waitara Survey District; thence generally south-easterly to
and along the western and southern boundaries of that Section to
the confiscation line; thence south-westerly by that line to the
north-eastern boundary of Part Section 43, Block VI, Ngatimaru
Survey District; thence generally north-westerly by the boundary
of the East Riding of the Stratford County hereinbefore described

COUNTY OF STRATFORD
ALL that area situated in the County of Stratford bounded as
follows: Commencing at a point being the north-western corner
of Section 2, Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District, and pro-
ceeding generally northerly, easterly, and southerly by the boundary
of the County of Stratford to Trig. Station Whakaihuwaka on
Mount Humphries; thence generally westerly and northerly by
the boundaries of the Mangaehu, East, and Ngatimaru Ridings
as hereinbefore described to the north-western corner of Section 2,
Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District, being the point of
commencement.

Substitution of a Commissioner on the Commission to Inquire
into and Report upon the Casualty to the Motor Vessel
"Joyita"

To all to whom these presents shall come, and to:
Charles Croft Marsack, Esquire, Chief Judge of the High
Court of Western Samoa; Cyril Gilbert Reeves McKay,
Esquire, of Onerahi, Whangarei, Retired Civil Servant;
James Forbes, Esquire, of Auckland, Master Mariner;
and Arthur Henry Prosser, Esquire, of Otahuhu, Retired
Master Mariner:
Greeting.
WHEREAS, by Warrant issued on the 21st day of Decem-
ber 1955 under the hand of the Governor-General with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, you, the
said Charles Croft Marsack, Cyril Gilbert Reeves McKay, and
James Forbes were appointed a Commission to inquire into
and report upon the casualty to the Motor Vessel "Joyita":
And whereas the said James Forbes has expressed his desire
to be discharged from serving under the said Warrant:
And whereas it is expedient that he should be so discharged
and that you, the said Arthur Henry Prosser, should be
appointed in his stead:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Wil-
loughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
acting pursuant to the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1908 and
the Samoa Commissions of Inquiry Order 1927 and by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
discharge you, the said James Forbes, from serving under the
said Warrant and appoint you, the said Arthur Henry Prosser,
so to serve in his stead:
And I declare that these presents are concurrent with and
intended to be to the same effect as a Warrant substituting
you, the said Arthur Henry Prosser, for you, the said James
Forbes, as a member of the said Commission issued or to be
issued by the High Commissioner of Western Samoa under
the Commissions of Inquiry Ordinance 1921:
And I hereby confirm the said Warrant of 21st December
1955 and the Commission thereby constituted save as modified
by these presents.
Given in Executive Council under the hand of His Excel-
lency the Governor-General this 31st day of January
1956.
