GREYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL
MAKING OF SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners’ Housing Loan 1955, £15,000
NOTICE is hereby given that, at a special meeting of Council held on the 13th day of November 1956, the Greymouth Borough Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, resolved:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000), authorised to be raised by the Greymouth Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for erection of pensioners’ flats, the said Greymouth Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·3506d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Greymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Counties Act 1920, and all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, the Awatere County Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Machinery Loan 1956 of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorised to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing machinery for the renewal of plant, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-six one hundredths of a penny (0·26d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Awatere; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 8th day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a minute from the proceedings of the Awatere County Council held on the 8th day of November 1956.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Cook County Council at its meeting held on the 22nd day of November 1956 has resolved to prepare for the County of Cook a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Cook County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office on or before the 26th day of February 1957.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipawa County Council at its meeting on the 8th day of October 1956 has resolved to prepare for the County of Waipawa a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Waipawa County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered to the County Clerk’s office on or before the 28th day of February 1957.

TAUPIRI DRAINAGE AND RIVER BOARD
THE Taupiri Drainage and River Board at a special meeting held on 11 October 1956 passed the following resolution:
“The Taupiri Drainage and River Board hereby resolves by way of special order to subdivide the Komakorau Subdivision of the Board’s district by a line commencing at the point where the boundary of the Ten Foot Subdivision intersects the centre line of the Komakorau Stream; thence generally in a south-easterly direction along the centre line of the said Komakorau Stream to its confluence with the Central Drain; thence generally in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction by the Central Drain to a point opposite the north-west corner of Lot 8, Deposited Plan 6644, in Block VII, Komakorau Survey District; thence generally in a south-easterly direction by a right line to the south-east corner of Lot 13, Block VII, Komakorau Survey District; thence generally in a south-easterly direction by a right line to a portion on the west boundary of Lot 1, Block XII, Komakorau Survey District (95 chains distant along that boundary from Piako Road); thence in a south-easterly direction along the summit line to the boundary of the Tauhei Subdivision at an angle peg in an unformed road in part Lot 3, Deposited Plan 36284, Block XII, Komakorau Survey District. The area to the north of the above defined line to be called ‘the Komakorau East Subdivision’ and the area to the south of the above defined line to be called ‘the Komakorau West Subdivision’. The number of trustees to be elected by each new subdivision to be one.”
After public notification had been given, this resolution was confirmed by the Board at its meeting of 15 November 1956.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE PURPOSE FOR WHICH LAND WAS ACQUIRED
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council desires, pursuant to the provisions of the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, to change the purpose for which the lands described in the Schedule hereto were acquired, namely, for public swimming baths, to some other purpose, namely, for parking purposes; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and is open for public inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the proposed change of purpose are called upon to state their objection in writing and send same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

2 roods 6·9 perches, more or less, being part of Allotments 7 and 8, Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland, the boundaries whereof are more particularly shown on Proclamation No. 13451, being the whole of the land in certificate of title, Volume 1035, folio 130, Auckland Registry.

WAIPU COUNTY COUNCIL
RESULT OF POLL
I hereby give notice that, at the poll of ratepayers taken on Saturday, the 17th day of November 1956, under section 40 of the Rating Act 1925 and the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, on a proposal to adopt the system of rating on unimproved value in the County of Waipu, the number of votes recorded was as follows:
For unimproved value, 550.
Against unimproved value, 202.
Informal, 10.
Pursuant to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I therefore declare the proposal to adopt the system of rating on the unimproved value within the said County of Waipu to be carried.
