HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 120 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers
Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby authorises the South Canterbury Catchment
Board to invest from the Board’s Renewal and Replacement
Fund the sum of three thousand pounds (£3,000) in the
debentures of the Timaru City Council for the “Sewerage and
Drainage Loan 1954”.

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the Waipa County Council stopping the portion of road
described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be
stopped: 3 roods 31·1 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Maungatautari 5A 1c 3B Block
and part 5A No. 2 Block.
Situated in Block IX, Maungatautari Survey District, Auckland R.D. (S.O. 37734.)
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 152206
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured green.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, by Orders in Council made on the 1st day of
December 1954 and the 7th day of September 1955, consent
was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Springs-
Elesmere Electric Power Board (hereinafter called the said
local authority) of a loan of £100,000 to be known as No. 11
Reticulation Loan 1954 (hereinafter called the said loan):
And whereas the said local authority, pending the raising
of portion of the said loan amounting to £14,000 (hereinafter called the said sum), is desirous of borrowing the said
sum or part thereof by hypothecation or mortgage, pursuant
to section 34 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, of the
debentures authorised to be issued in respect of the said
loan:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 7 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act 1932–33
and section 8 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and
Loans Conversion Amendment Act 1933, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the said local
authority, pending the raising of the said sum in accordance
with the determinations of the Local Government Loans
Board, borrowing the said sum or any part thereof by the
hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures at a rate of
interest not exceeding 4½ per cent per annum.
