Provisional State Forest Land Set Apart as Permanent State
Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the
provisional State forest land described in the Schedule hereto
as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in Westland County, containing 21,373 acres,
more or less, being Reserve 1631 (provisional State forest land,
Gazette, 1920, page 2842), Reserve 1709, and part of Reserve
1708 (provisional State forest land, Gazette, 1921, page 2089),
Reserve 1943 (provisional State forest land, Gazette, 1954,
page 1097), and part of Reserve 1671 (provisional State forest
land, Gazette, 1919, page 1287), situated in Blocks VII, IX,
X, XI, XIII, XIV, and XV, Waitaha Survey District, Block
XVI, Clifton Survey District, and Blocks I and II, Mount
Bonar Survey District, and described generally as follows:
Towards the east by Reserve 1189; towards the south-east by
Reserve 1190; towards the south-west, south, east, and north-
east by Reserve 1191; towards the south-east by Reserve 908;
towards the south and east by Rural Section 2340 and the
abutment of a public road; towards the south-west by the
right bank of the Wanganui River and Reserve 649; towards
the north-west by the mean high-water mark of the Tasman
Sea to a point opposite the north-western boundary of Rural
Section 15; towards the south-east, north-east, and north-west
by Rural Section 15; again towards the north-west by the
mean high-water mark aforesaid and the Ounatai Lagoon to
a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural
Section 3076; towards the north-east generally by Rural Sec-
tions 3076, 14, and 759, a public road, and by the left bank
of Duffers Creek to a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary of Rural Section 2557; towards the north-west by
the crossing of Duffers Creek, a public road, and Rural
Section 2557; towards the south-west by Rural Sections 2557
and 2855; towards the north-west and south-west by Rural
Section 2854; towards the north-west by Rural Sections 3077
and 2962, a public road, Reserve 648, a public road, and
Rural Section 3556, to the left bank of the Waitaha River;
and towards the north-east by the Waitaha River to a point
opposite the western boundary of Reserve 1189. As shown on
plan No. 132/34 deposited in the Head Office of the New
Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered
red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 16th day of November 1956.

Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest
land.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in Taumarunui County, containing 1,945 acres
3 roods, more or less, and being Section 2, Block XIV,
Puketapu Survey District, and Section 4, Block III, Maungaku
Survey District. As shown on plan No. 53/15 deposited in the
Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 37772.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 16th day of November 1956.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of the Avondale-Onehunga-Southdown Railway.

deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Com-
mission at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

The Waitemata Rabbit District Order 1956 (Notice
No. Ag. 6198)

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 21st day of
November 1956

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Waitemata Rabbit
    District Order 1956.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.

  2. The boundaries of the Waitemata Rabbit District, which
    was constituted by Order in Council on the 10th day of April
    1951,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the
    commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said
    district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE WAITEMATA RABBIT BOARD

ALL that area in the Waitemata County in the North Auckland
Land District, containing approximately 108,500 acres, bounded
by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth
of the Waiwera River and running southerly generally along
the sea coast to and up the left bank of the Orewa River to
and along the north-western side of the Main North Road to
and along the south-eastern side of Black Bridge Road to and
up the middle of the Rangitopuni Stream to a point in Block
II, Waitemata Survey District, in line with the generally
south-western boundary of Allotment 92, Paremoremo Parish;
thence along a right line to and along that south-western
boundary to the boundary of the State forest described in
Gazette, 1926, page 1193; thence again southerly and then
westerly along the boundaries of that State forest and of the
State forest described in the Gazettes of 1929, page 2415, 1930,
pages 737 and 3748, and 1933, page 394, to the eastern boun-
dary of Allotment 50, Paremoremo Parish, in Block VII,
Kumeu Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary of
the said Allotment 50 and along a right line, being that boun-
dary produced to the left bank of the Kumeu River; thence
down that left bank to and along the south-western boundary
of Lot 1, D.P. 13290, being part of Waikoukou No. 2 Block,
and along a right line, being that boundary produced across
the North Auckland railway to the Auckland-Helensville
Main Highway; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern
side of the said highway to the middle of the Waipatukahu
Stream in Block VI, Kumeu Survey District; thence down the
middle of that stream and the middle of the Kaipara River
to a point in line with the southern boundary of the Helens-
ville Borough, and along a right line to and along the southern,
eastern, and northern boundaries of the said borough as de-
scribed in Gazette, No. 6, of the 6th day of February 1947,
page 157, to and northerly down the right bank of the Kaipara
River aforesaid to and along the boundary of the Waitemata
County as described in Gazette, No. 49, of the 12th day of
August 1954, page 1308, to the confluence of the Makarau
River with the Rauhori Stream in Block III, Kaipara Survey
District; thence generally easterly, continuing up the left bank
of the Makarau River aforesaid, to and along the south-
eastern side of the North Auckland railway, to and again
along the boundary of the Waitemata County aforesaid, to the
point of commencement.
