Result of Poll for Proposed Loan
Pursuant to the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the following
notice received by the Minister of Finance from the Chairman,
Onerahi Town Council, is hereby published.

NOTICE
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Town
District of Onerahi taken on the 10th day of October
1956 on the proposal of the Onerahi Town Council to borrow
the sum of £15,000 (fifteen thousand) for street improvements:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 41.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 13.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926,
I hereby give notice that, at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Tauranga taken on the 6th day of October 1956
on the proposal of the Tauranga Borough Council to borrow
the sum of £120,000 for the purpose of erecting a road and
footbridge across the Waikareao Estuary:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,153.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 839.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Amendment of Standard Specification
Pursuant to the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations
made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce,
on 31 October 1956, amended the under-mentioned standard
specification by the incorporation of the amendment shown
hereunder:
Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 198: Plugs and
sockets of the flat-pin type for use on 10-amp. 250-volt
circuits.
Amendment: No. 3. October 1956.
Price of Copy (Post Free): 2s. 6d.
Application for copies of the standard specification so
