Declaring Lands in North Auckland and Wellington Land Districts Vested in the Auckland and Wanganui Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wanganui Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

PART Allotment 53, Parish of Waikomiti, situated in Block VII, Titirangi Survey District: Area, 1 acre and 8 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 970, folio 30 (limited as to parcels and title).

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/726 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

PART Tawata No. 2, situated in Block VI, Retaruke Survey District: Area, 6 acres 1 rood 31 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 485, folio 122. (S.O. Plan 20634.)

Land Held for the Purposes of a Post Office Set Apart for Buildings of the General Government in Block II, Whakatane Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for the purposes of a post office, is hereby set apart for buildings of the General Government; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 12th day of November 1956.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land set apart: 35Β·2 perches. Being Section 2 and Lot 29 of Section 5, Block II, Whakatane Survey District, and being the land in Proclamation 4984, Auckland Land Registry.

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 49781 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 2nd day of November 1956.
