MAURICEVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1951, £5,000 (Issue of £3,000)

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act 1951, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Mauriceville County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on a special loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000) authorised to be raised by the Mauriceville County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of erection of a worker’s dwelling and all other works incidental thereto, the Mauriceville County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourteenth of one penny (¹/₁₄d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Mauriceville, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Mauriceville County Council at the meeting of the Mauriceville County Council held at Mauriceville on the 16th day of October 1956.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Kaikoura County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of thirty-one thousand pounds (£31,000) authorised to be raised by the Kaikoura County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reticulating the suburban riding and portion of the town riding of the county with electricity, the Kaikoura County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ninety-one one-hundredths of a penny (0·91d.) in the pound (£1) on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the special rating area in the county, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1956

THE Wairoa County Council, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments and the Rural Housing Act 1939, doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That the security for the annual charges in respect of such loan shall be a special rate of one twenty-second of one penny (¹/₂₂d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Wairoa.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the resolution making a special rate passed at the meeting of the Wairoa County Council, held at the Council Chambers, Queen Street, Wairoa, on Tuesday, 11 September 1956.

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a main sewerage system, and for the purposes of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board at 28 Quay Street, Auckland, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Secretary to the said Board at the Board’s office, 28 Quay Street, Auckland C. 1.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of parcels of land required to be taken: 6 acres 1 rood 23 perches.

Description of land to be taken: Part of Lot 1 on D.P. 10686, being part of Allotment 85 of the Parish of Manurewa; edged green on plan.

Situated in the County of Manukau.

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Acts amending the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Rangiora, a body corporate under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, for the purposes of a street:

Firstly, all that parcel of land situated in the Borough of Rangiora containing 36·3 perches, being that part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 3, folio 203, more particularly shown coloured orange on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch, and therein numbered 9033;

And secondly, all that parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing 5·8 perches, being the balance of the land in certificate of title, Volume 154, folio 258, more particularly shown coloured blue on the said plan.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land required to be taken and the names of the owners and occupiers of such land is deposited at the offices of the Town Clerk of the Borough of Rangiora, Percival Street, Rangiora, where it lies open for public inspection daily without fee during all reasonable hours; and that all persons affected shall, if they have any objections to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objection and send such writing within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice, being the 29th day of September 1956, addressed to the Town Clerk, Rangiora.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tuakau Borough Council at its meeting on Wednesday, the 24th day of October 1956, has resolved to prepare for the Tuakau Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Tuakau Borough District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 11th day of January 1957.
