Notifying the Vesting of Public Reserves in the Crown
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Land Subdivision in Counties Act 1946, it is hereby notified that the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been vested in Her Majesty for the purposes specified, and from the dates shown at the end of the respective descriptions.

Claim for Registration of School Colours
PURSUANT to the Education Act 1914 and regulations thereunder, notice is hereby given that a claim has been made for the registration of the following colours, badges, and monograms for the Mount Roskill Grammar School:
Badge: The badge of the Mount Roskill Grammar School depicts a gold phoenix rising from a fire of light blue and red flames and royal blue ash. Immediately below is the motto sursum inscribed in red letters on a gold scroll. All the above is on a squadron-blue background.
Motto: Sursum.
Colours: Squadron blue, red, and gold.
If within forty days of the publication of this notice no objection to this claim is received by me the claim will be registered in accordance with the provisions of the above Act and regulations.

Deficiency Payments in Respect of Export Meat
PURSUANT to the Meat Export Prices Act 1955, notice is hereby given that the deficiency payments set out in the Schedule hereto may be made to the owners in accordance with that Act for the classes of meat specified in the said Schedule for the week commencing on Monday, the 22nd day of October 1956.

Compensation for Persecution in Austria
THE Minister of External Affairs has been informed that the Government of Austria has promulgated a law for the assistance of persons who suffered political persecution in Austria. Under the provisions of this law compensation may be claimed from the Austrian Government by persons who suffered political persecution in the period 1933–1945, and who emigrated and are now living outside Austria.
Any applications, in respect of persecution, hitherto submitted to other agencies of the Austrian Government must be submitted afresh to the committee set up under the new law.
Claim forms may be obtained from a restitution organisation in Australia, and must be filed with the Austrian Government not later than 10 June 1957.
A statement setting out a summary of the Austrian law and particulars of the procedure which should be adopted by claimants may be obtained from the Department of External Affairs, Wellington.
