of a public road which forms the northern boundary of part
Allotment 337B 4, Waioeka Parish; thence by the middle of
the aforesaid public road to the right bank of the Waioeka
River; thence in a northerly direction generally by the afore-
said right bank of the Waioeka River, to the southern side
of Duke Street, being a point on the Opotiki Borough
boundary; thence in an easterly direction by the southern side
of Duke Street produced to the left bank of the Otara River;
thence in a north-westerly direction generally by the said
left bank of the Otara River to its confluence with the Waioeka
River; thence due west across the Waioeka River to its left
bank; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by the left
bank of the Waioeka River and the Opotiki Harbour to the
mean high-water mark of the sea; thence in an easterly
direction generally by the mean high-water mark of the sea to
a point in line with the eastern side of a roadway which forms
the western boundary of part Opape 30 Block in Block V,
Waiaua Survey District, being the point of commencement.

Time and Place of Elections by Fire-insurance Companies to
fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Boards for the
Dargaville, Hikurangi, and Whangarei Urban Fire Districts
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Fire Services Act 1949,
the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon
on Tuesday, 13 November 1956, as the time, and the offices
of the Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, Victoria
Arcade, Auckland, as the place, for the holding of a meet-
ing of representatives of the insurance companies carrying
on business in New Zealand to elect one member on each
of the Fire Boards for the Dargaville, Hikurangi, and
Whangarei Urban Fire Districts.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work at Wairoa
and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the
Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act
1948 as from the 29th day of October 1956.

thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on
12 October 1956, amended the under-mentioned standard
specifications by the incorporation of the amendments shown
hereunder.

reflectors for vehicles, including cycles; being B.S. 2515 : 1954,
amended to meet New Zealand requirements.
