Provisional State Forest Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the provisional State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in Rotorua County, containing 2,363 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Sections 7, 8, 10, and 13, Block III, Rotorua Survey District. As shown on plan No. 38/73 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plans 13353 and 13354.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 27th day of September 1956.

ALL that area in Rotorua County, containing 141 acres 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, and being Section 19, Block IV, Rotorua Survey District. As shown on plan No. 38/74 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 28224.)

Additional Land at Awatoto Taken for the Purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway.

APPROXIMATE areas of the piece of additional land taken:

0 0 33·2 Lot 6 and part Lot 5, D.P. 4696, and part Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, and 13, Deeds Plan 965, being parts Suburban Sections 11, 12, 13, and 14, Awatoto; coloured blue.
0 0 14·6 Part Lots 10, 11, 12, and 13, Deeds Plan 965, being parts Suburban Sections 10 and 11, Awatoto; coloured sepia.
All situated in Block VIII, Heretaunga Survey District, Hawke’s Bay County. (S.O. 2928.)
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14306 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Abolition of the Miner River Rural Fire District

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby abolishes the Miner River Rural Fire District and revokes the order constituting that district made on 9th day of March 1949 and published in the Gazette in 1949, Volume I, page 724.

Reapportioning Representation on the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 2nd day of October 1956
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby determines as follows:
-
This Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the next general election of members of local authorities (hereinafter referred to as “the specified date”).
-
The number of representatives of each constituent district of the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power District on the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district.
-
The constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be a combined district for the purposes of the said Act.
-
The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)” shall be the principal local authority of the combined district of which it forms a part.
-
The first election of the representatives of the said combined district shall be held on the specified date.
-
The Order in Council dated the 16th day of March 1949 and published in the Gazette on the 25th day of the same month, at page 827, reapportioning representation on the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board, is hereby revoked.

The Order in Council dated the 10th day of June 1953 and published in the Gazette on the 18th day of the same month, at page 927, amending the said Order in Council dated the 16th day of March 1949, is hereby revoked.
