IN LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and Browne and Lewis Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 6th day of September 1956, the following special resolution was duly passed:

“(1) That the company, having sold its undertaking and ceased to carry on business, it is advisable to wind up, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily.

“(2) That Mr Robert Clive Haszard, of Auckland, public accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

The foregoing resolution was confirmed at a meeting of creditors of the said company on the 6th day of September 1956.

IN LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and in the matter of H. Margolish Limited (in liquidation).

PURSUANT to section 221 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that a minute was passed at a meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company on the 15th day of August 1956 declaring that the company be wound up voluntarily and appointing Mr P. C. Browne, of Christchurch, liquidator.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and in the matter of Cefco Plastics Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolutions were passed by the company by entry in its minute book (pursuant to the provisions of section 300 of the Companies Act 1933) on the 18th day of September 1956.

Resolved:

“(1) That the company be wound up voluntarily.

“(2) That Mr D. B. Kibblewhite, public accountant, 200 Willis Street, Wellington, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general meeting of Porters (Tikokino) Limited (in voluntary liquidation) will be held at the offices of Messrs Lee, Mackie, Harker, and McKay, Solicitors, Ruataniwha Street, Waipawa, on Monday, the 22nd day of October 1956, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before it showing how the winding up of the company has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held in Auckland on 10th day of August the following special resolution was passed:

“That the company be wound up voluntarily and that John Patrick Murphy, of Whangarei, public accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

PACIFIC FORESTS LIMITED

REDUCTION OF CAPITAL

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and in the matter of Pacific Forests Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 16th day of July 1956 confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company from £300,000 to £180,000 and the minute approved by the Court showing, with respect to the capital of the company as altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act were registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 27th day of August 1956.

The said minute is in the words and figures following:

“The capital of the company is £180,000 divided into 296,262 stock units of 12s. each and 3,738 ordinary shares of 12s. each, and with power to divide its capital by the subdivision of such shares or any of them into shares of a smaller amount, or to consolidate and divide its capital into shares of a larger amount, or to convert its paid-up shares into stock; also with power to increase such capital and to issue any capital, whether original or increased, as paid up or partly paid up or as ordinary preferred or guaranteed or deferred shares or shares with such other rights, privileges, or conditions attached thereto as the general meeting authorising such increase of capital may prescribe.”

THE PHARMACY BOARD ELECTION REGULATIONS 1940

NOTICE OF ELECTION

NOTICE is hereby given that a general election of members of the Pharmacy Board is to be held. Rolls of the persons entitled to vote will be closed for the purposes of the election at noon on Friday, the 26th day of October 1956.

The last hour and day fixed for receiving nominations of candidates for the election is four (4) o’clock in the afternoon of the 6th day of November 1956.

The last hour and day for receiving voting papers for the election (should a poll be required) will be four (4) o’clock in the afternoon of the 27th day of November 1956.

Nominations, on the prescribed form, of candidates for election as employers’ representatives, and voting papers relating to such candidates, will be received at the office of the Registrar, under the Pharmacy Act 1939, situated at 59 Cambridge Terrace, Wellington C. 3.

The last hour and day fixed for receiving nominations of candidates for the election is four (4) o’clock in the afternoon of the 6th day of November 1956.

The last hour and day for receiving voting papers for the election (should a poll be required) will be four (4) o’clock in the afternoon of the 27th day of November 1956.

Nominations, on the prescribed form, of candidates for election as employees’ representatives, and voting papers relating to such candidates, will be received at the office of the Secretary of the N.Z. Federated Shop Assistants’ Industrial Association of Workers, No. 194 Gloucester Street, Christchurch.

FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT 1909

CANCELLING OF FRIENDLY SOCIETY

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 18th day of September 1956, cancelled the registry of Gilchrist Lodge, No. 19, of the Protestant Alliance Friendly Society of Australasia (Register No. 197/23), held at Christchurch, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.
