NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the
Town and Country Planning Act 1953, approval has been
granted to the Kairanga County Council to prepare, recom-
mend, and approve its district scheme by the following
sections:
Section 1: Palmerston North Extra Urban Section: As
described in the First Schedule hereto.
Section 2: Rural Section: As described in the Second
Schedule hereto.

KAIRANGA COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME, SECTION 1
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a
line commencing at the intersection of the south-western
boundary of Lot 7, as shown on the plan numbered 7073
deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Wellington, with the north-western boundary of the Foxton-
New Plymouth Railway (Palmerston North Deviation), being
a point on the boundary of the City of Palmerston North as
described in Gazette, 1953, at page 1189; thence north-westerly
along the south-western boundaries of Lots 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3
as shown on the plan numbered 7073 aforesaid; thence north-
easterly along the north-western boundary of Lot 3 aforesaid
and the production of that boundary to the middle of Gilles-
pies Line; thence north-westerly along the middle of Gillespies
Line to its intersection with the middle of Flygers Line;
thence north-easterly along the middle of Flygers Line and
Richardsons Line to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of Lot 12 as shown on the plan numbered 573
deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly to and along
the south-western boundary of Lot 12 aforesaid; thence north-

easterly to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 53,

Palmerston North, south-westerly along the south-eastern
boundary of Lot 48 aforesaid, crossing the Wellington-Napier
Railway (Palmerston North Deviation) to the north-eastern
boundary of Lot 9 of Rural Section 415 aforesaid; thence
south-easterly along that boundary, crossing the Wellington-
Napier Railway, and the production of that boundary to the
middle of the Palmerston North-Napier State Highway;
thence south-westerly along the middle of the aforesaid State
highway to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1
as shown on the plan numbered 1028 deposited as aforesaid;
thence southerly to and along the eastern boundaries of Lots
1 and 2 as shown on the plan numbered 1028 aforesaid and
the production thereof to the middle of Te Matai Road; thence
westerly along the middle of Te Matai Road to the middle of
a public road forming the western boundary of Lot 7 as
shown on the plan numbered 2585 deposited as aforesaid;
thence southerly along the middle of that public road to the
right bank of the Manawatu River; thence westerly generally
along the right bank of the Manawatu River to a point in

point in the middle of Maxwells Line on the right bank of
the Manawatu River, being a point on the boundary of the
City of Palmerston North as described in Gazette, 1953, at page
1189; thence south-westerly generally along the right bank of
the Manawatu River to the middle of Waldegrave Road;
thence north-westerly along the middle of Waldegrave Road
and the Longburn-Tangimoana Main Highway to a point in
line with the north-western boundary of Lot 3 of Rural
Section 355, Township of Palmerston North; thence north-
easterly to and along the north-western boundaries of Lots 3
and 4 of Rural Section 355, Lots 5 and 6 of Rural Section
354, Lots 7 and 8 of Rural Section 353, Lots 9 and 10 of
Rural Section 352, Lot 11 of Rural Sections 352 and 351, Lots
12 and 13 of Rural Section 351, Township of Palmerston
North, to the southernmost corner of Lot 16 of Rural Section
350; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary
of Lot 16 aforesaid to the south-eastern side of Boundary
Road; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of
Boundary Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 16 of
Rural Section 350 aforesaid, being a point on the boundary
of the City of Palmerston North described as aforesaid;
thence southerly generally along the boundary of the City of
Palmerston North to a point in the middle of Maxwells Line
on the right bank of the Manawatu River, being the point of
commencement.
Also all that area bounded by a line commencing at the
westernmost corner of Section 205, Township of Fitzherbert;
thence easterly along the northern boundary of Section 205
aforesaid, and the production thereof to the middle of the
Levin-Palmerston North via Shannon State Highway; thence
southerly and south-easterly along the middle of the aforesaid
State highway, the Fitzherbert East Main Highway, and the
Manawatu Bridge Road to and along the middle of the Fitz-
herbert Road West to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 4339
deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly to and along the
south-western boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid, along the south-
western boundaries of part Lots 4 and 2 as shown on the
plan numbered 2579 deposited as aforesaid, along the south
western boundary of Section 208, Township of Fitzherbert,
along the south-western boundary of Lot 13 as shown on the
plan numbered 1880 deposited as aforesaid, the south-western
boundary of Lot 8 as shown on the plan numbered 1794
deposited as aforesaid to the Levin-Palmerston North via
Shannon State Highway, across the aforesaid State highway

ALL that area comprising the County of Kairanga as described
in Gazette of 1953 at page 1190, excluding the areas compris-
ing the Palmerston North Extra Urban Section described in
the First Schedule hereto.

Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders in Jersey
It is notified for general information that maintenance orders
made in New Zealand and the Cook Islands may now be
enforced in Jersey. The Maintenance Orders (Facilities for
Enforcement) (No. 3) (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Act
1956, which was promulgated on the 11th day of April 1956,
declared New Zealand and the Cook Islands to be recipro-
cating countries for the purposes of the Maintenance Orders
(Facilities for Enforcement) (Jersey) Law 1953.

Rules of Otago Acclimatisation Society Approved
PURSUANT to section 29 (4) of the Wildlife Act 1953, the
Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that the rules
of the Otago Acclimatisation Society have been approved by
