Pursuant to section 88 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby severally appoints the persons whose names and addresses are set forth in the second column of the Schedule hereto to be the District Licensing Authorities of the transport districts, the names of which are set forth opposite their respective names in the first column of the said Schedule, for a term commencing on the 1st day of October 1956 and expiring on the 30th day of September 1959.

Approval of Testing Officers Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the persons named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Approval of Testing Officers Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

Notice of Intention to Take Entirety of Land in Block VII, Rangiriri Survey District, for Road
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the entirety of the land described in the Schedule hereto for road. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Huntly and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing and send the writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
