easterly to and along the western and north-western boun-
daries of that lot to a point on the southern boundary of Lot

of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, the said point
being on the boundary of the Upokongaro Riding herein-
before described; thence easterly generally along the southern
boundaries of that riding to the north-eastern corner of
Section 304, Left Bank Wanganui River, being the point of
commencement.
PURUA RIDING
All that area in the County of Wanganui bounded by a
line commencing at a point in Block V, Ikitara Survey Dis-
trict, on the western boundary of Section 45, Left Bank
Wanganui River, 749Β·2 links distant from Portal Street, the
said point being on the southern boundary of Kaukatea
Riding hereinbefore described; thence easterly and north-
easterly generally along the southern and south-eastern boun-
daries of that riding to the northernmost corner of Section
217, Left Bank Wanganui River, situated in Block I,
Whangaehu Survey District; thence south-easterly along the
north-eastern boundary of that section and down the middle
of the Hoaripu Stream to its confluence with the Whangaehu
River; thence south-westerly generally down the middle of
that river being the boundary of the County of Wanganui
to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1 as
shown on the plan numbered 2835 deposited in the office
of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence north-
westerly generally to and along that boundary and the north-
eastern and northern boundaries of Lot 2 as shown on the
said plan and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
to the middle of Warren gate Line; thence north-easterly along
the middle of that line to a point in line with the southern
boundary of the land as shown on the plan numbered 10515
deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly generally along
the southern and western boundaries of that land, the south-
western boundaries of Sections 180, 179, 177, 135, and 134,
the eastern boundaries of Section 154, the eastern, southern,
and western boundaries of Section 153, across Union Line,
and along the southern and western boundaries of Section
137, the western and southern boundaries of Section 136, the
southern boundaries of Sections 42, 41, 40, 39, 38, 37, 36,
35, and 34, the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of
Section 33, all the aforesaid sections being of Left Bank
Wanganui River, to the south-eastern corner of Pariatumanga
lb; thence westerly and north-westerly along the southern
and south-western boundaries of that subdivision, across
Waitahanui Road, and along the south-western boundaries
of Pariatumanga 1A and along the south-western, western,
southern, and western boundaries generally of Manawakowara
Block to and across the abutment of a public road to the
south-western corner of Lot 1 as shown on the plan num-
bered 12932 deposited as aforesaid; thence easterly and
north-easterly along the northern and north-western sides of
that road and a right line across Portal Street, to the south-
western corner of Section 45, Left Bank Wanganui River;
thence northerly along the western boundary of that section
to a point .749.2 links distant from Portal Street being the
point of commencement.
KAITOKE RIDING
All that area in the County of Wanganui bounded by a
line commencing at a point in Block V, Ikitara Survey Dis-
trict, on the western boundary of Manawakowara Block,
being the south-western corner of Lot 1 as shown on the
plan numbered 12932 deposited in the office of the District
Land Registrar at Wellington, the said point being also on
the boundary of the Purua Riding hereinbefore described;
thence south-easterly generally along the south-western boun-
daries of that riding to a point in the middle of the
Whangaehu River, in line with the north-eastern boundary
of Lot 1; as shown on the plan numbered 2835, deposited as
aforesaid, the said point being on the boundary of the County
of Wanganui, as described in Gazette, 1955, at page 1160;
thence south-westerly, north-westerly, and easterly generally
along that boundary, to a point in line with the southern
boundary of the Kaiate No. 2 Block; thence easterly gene-
rally along the southern boundaries of that block, Mana-
wakowara No. 3 Block, and Section 29, Left Bank Wanganui
River; thence southerly along part of the western boundary
of Manawakowara No. 2 Block to the south-western corner
of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 12932 aforesaid,
being the point of commencement.
MANGAMAHU RIDING
All that area in the County of Wanganui bounded towards
the west and north generally by the Purua, Kaukatea,
Upokongaro, and Mangawhero Ridings hereinbefore described,
and towards the east and south-east generally by part of the
boundary of the County of Wanganui as described in the
Gazette, 1955, at page 1160.

Relating to the Fixing of Corrugated Sheets and Accessories,
and Safety Precautions in the Erection of Roofs) (Revision
of N.Z.S.S. 282)
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards
Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above draft New
Zealand standard specification is being circulated.
All persons who may be affected by this specification and
who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain
copies free of charge from the New Zealand Standards Insti-
tute, 201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington C. 1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 10 December
1956.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand
PURSUANT to section 45 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand
Act 1933 (as amended by section 23 of the Reserve Bank of
New Zealand Amendment Act 1936), the Governor of the
Reserve Bank, acting with the authority of the Minister of
Finance, hereby gives notice that, as from 14 September 1956,
the balance to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each
other bank for the time being carrying on business in New
Zealand in accordance with the said section 45 shall be such
that, when added to that bank's holdings of Reserve Bank
notes, it shall be equal to not less than 30 per cent of its
demand liabilities in New Zealand, plus 10 per cent of its
time liabilities in New Zealand, as shown in the last preceding
monthly return furnished by that bank in accordance with
section 46 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933.
Provided that the minimum balance to be maintained at the
Reserve Bank shall not be less than 7 per cent of its demand
liabilities in New Zealand, plus 3 per cent of its time
liabilities in New Zealand.
For the purpose of this calculation a bank's holding of
Reserve Bank notes shall be as shown in the latest available
weekly return provided under the Statistics Act 1955.
