Nelson City Council
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Nelson
City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £27,000 to be known as the Reclamation
Loan 1955, authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reclaiming
an area of mud-flat in Haven Road between Saltwater Creek
and the Nelson Harbour Board boundary, the said Nelson
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
twenty-nine/five hundred and twelfths of a penny (29/512d.)
in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the
unimproved value, of all rateable property of the City of
Nelson, comprising the whole of the said city, and such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd day
of July in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of ten years, or until such loan is paid
off."
The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the
Nelson City Council at an ordinary meeting held on the 19th
day of January 1956.

Raglan County Council, NGARUAWAHI
SPECIAL ORDER CONSTITUTING KAAWA DRAINAGE DISTRICT,
Port Waikato
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 168 of
the Counties Act 1920, the Raglan County Council, on
the petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the district
hereinafter mentioned, resolves and declares by way of special
order as follows:
"That part of the County of Raglan described in the
following Schedule is declared to be a district for the purpose
of the construction and maintenance of drainage works
therein. The name of the said district shall be the Kaawa
Drainage District, and this special order shall take effect on
the 1st day of February 1956.
"The boundary of the district is all that area of approximately 9,680 acres, situated in the South Auckland Land
District and the Raglan County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block II, Coast Survey District, on the
shores of the Tasman Sea, being the north-western corner of
Te Akau B No. 20 Block and, running easterly generally along
the northern boundary of that block, along a right line across
the Port Waikato-Waikaretu Valley Road, along its north-eastern side, along the north-western side of the public road
forming part of the south-eastern boundary of Te Akau A
No. 12 Block, to and northerly along the boundary between
Blocks I and II, Coast, and I and V, Awaroa, Survey Districts
to the southern boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 21355, being part
of Te Akau A No. 11 Block; thence again easterly along the
aforesaid southern boundary, the southern boundaries of
Lots 7 and 6 on the aforesaid plan 21355, being parts of
Te Akau A No. 12 Block, crossing an intervening public road,
along the southern boundary of Lot 2 on the said plan numbered 21335, being part of Te Akau A No. 11 Block aforesaid, and the southern and eastern boundaries of another part
of the aforesaid A No. 11 Block, to and along the southern
boundary of Allotment 109, Whangape Parish, to the western
boundary of Allotment 107 of the aforesaid parish; thence
southerly generally along the western and southern boundaries of the aforesaid Allotment 107, and the western boundaries generally of Sections 1 and 5, Block VI, Awaroa Survey District, to the northern corner of Te Akau B No. 30c 1
Block; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of the
B 30c 1 aforesaid and B 30D Blocks, the northern boundaries
of Sections 5 and 4, Block IX, Awaroa Survey District, the north
end of a public road and the northern boundary of Section
13 of the aforesaid Block IX, and northerly along the eastern
side of the Port Waikato-Waikaretu Valley Road, to a point
in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.S. 2159,
being part of Te Akau B No. 27 Block; thence westerly along
a right line across the aforesaid road, to and along the southern
boundary of the aforesaid Lot 1, and the southern
boundary of the other part of the aforesaid B No. 27 Block,
to the shores of the Tasman Sea; thence northerly along the
aforesaid shores to the point of commencement."

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the
day preceding publication.
Subscriptions.--The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per
calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every
subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for
the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
£1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are
out of print.)
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1)
and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, £3 3s.
per calendar year in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating
the purchase of extra copies.

Publications Branch, Wellington C. 1. Separate copies of
regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and
Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or
from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
